Last time I played this, everyone was telling me how great it is, but it's another one of those which didn't leave much of an impression so I'm trying it again...

Already completed the DOS version (and Amiga) of Jim Power but I bought it on GoG because you get the NES, Mega Drive and SNES roms too.

Went straight for the NES version (put it on my Everdrive), because I've (briefly) tried the MD & SNES before. It has a little intro which the others don't (unless it's been added in). The movement is a bit slippery though.

Jim Power (NES) on Sony Trinitron CRT TV.

@jake4480 The lightning is really cool. Difficult to capture what it looks like in person too - more so than the close up pictures.

I don't have 3 grand and the spec isn't what I'm looking for anyway, but the 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 of this guitar... I like it. I like it a lot.

I dislike Tomb Raider games. I will eventually buy the remastered trilogy just so I can confirm that after all these years I still dislike them. 😅

I last played them half of my life ago. My memories of them seem to be fairly clear, but I'm a different person now. Who knows? Maybe I'll discover something appealing about them. Could happen. 🤷‍♂️

Has this ever happened to you? As in you've grown to enjoy a game years after you originally disliked it? 🤔

@dosnostalgic With all the games I've played, I can't think of a single time I've done a complete 180 from dislike to enjoy.

I didn't like Tomb Raider the first time I played it and when I played through the whole thing years later so I could say that I 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 - it was excruciating.

The closest I could say is that there have been some games that I was neutral/not overly enthusiastic about the first time but ended up liking.

There have been many games I used to like that I now hate however.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Sewer music from the NES Terminator game, but it's a simple beat that never ends like they ran out of time before they could finish it.

So, using a NES soundfont, I (spent several days) having a go at making an actual tune out of it whilst also trying to crowbar the Terminator "motif" in there.

MIDI "cover" / remix of the Sewer music from the NES Terminator game. Playing in Evolution Audio Lite on Pentium 166MMX / AWE32.

I'm not sure if I went too far with it, or not far enough.

People will forever remember this as the day they heard the Major Stryker theme tune being played on a Rockwell WaveArtist sound card, possibly.

If you've played a pirated version of Prince of Persia 2, there's a really good chance you've played the pre-release version which is a lot more difficult that subsequent releases (which also have their own issues).

Pressing ALT+V won't display a version number in it, but instead just the title "PRINCE OF PERSIA 2" will appear at the bottom.

@dosnostalgic Interesting. I just checked and that 𝘪𝘴 the version I played (and completed too). Time for a replay maybe.
