I was actually specifically looking for an ALS300 card during my last Win98 build, as it sounds quite good (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJTaNSrI6-U) but didn't find one at the time.
Well, there's no flop left in this disk. I was shaking it a little (as you do casually on the way back and forth between computers) and the corner came off. Talk about brittle old plastic.
@Vyothric I had this happen to me a while ago, since they mailed it from Canada in the winter. It turns out that floppy disks do not like rough handling in cold temperatures, they get brittle. It arrived shattered
