WindyRebel,

Yeah, I did think of that as well. I was hoping for it to be a surprise, but asking them is also an avenue to take. They have kids, so I was hoping to get their whole family a little something.

WindyRebel,

Oof. Yeah, that’s definitely a good idea! I forgot about movies too.

WindyRebel,

Thank you very much for this! I was also reading that a fruit platter and/or chocolates are good too?

If that is true, is there any kind of chocolate that is off limits? I know alcohol and marshmallow is no good, but anything else?

I want to make sure there’s something for their kids too.

WindyRebel,

If only there were some loopholes to close and a way to take a little cash from assets that never ever get sold…

WindyRebel,

D&D as a brand and how it’s blown up in recent years is contributing a lot to it. Especially people, like me, who get to play once a month with their group. I need an itch scratched and this game is a good way to do it!

WindyRebel,

They say he’s a Lemmy boy He said, “I’m a chatty boi…”

WindyRebel,

Ok, number one. Engage!

WindyRebel,

I know my calculus. It says you+me = us

Stupid AI!

WindyRebel,

Uh. Pretty sure it was Episode 4: A Whale’s Hope

WindyRebel,

Honest curiosity on your answer to this.

Google is the developer of Chromium and the Chrome browser which uses Chromium. Chromium is free and open source (though owned by Google).

I’m not sure how you break up Chrome and Google. That’s literally their product. Who are we giving this to? There are browsers that do not use Chromium (e.g., Firefox and Safari being the big ones).

WindyRebel,

Most browsers use Chromium as the basis of how it works and these are how we access the internet’s websites. Chromium was invented by Google and both browsers you mentioned run on Chromium.

It’s not that Google controls the internet, but the vehicle (your browser) you use kind of does. And most of the vehicles are built using the code from the company that wants to impose this.

Browsers not run on Chromium:

  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Midori
  • Otter Browser
  • GNOME
  • A few others (you can search to find them out)
WindyRebel,

It could be hilarious if they do a sort of Solar Opposites-like show or Coneheads.

WindyRebel,

Hmm.

Pretty sure you don’t own ANY games anymore, unless you fully pirate them. The physical discs aren’t big enough to have the full game and really contain the license to play, which is why downloads and updates are prevalent before you get to play on most systems.

Is this correct or have I read incorrectly online?

If I’m correct, then my point is really that if players let this stand then a company can do anything to any game you’ve “bought”.

WindyRebel,

Some logical responses here, and I completely understand where your rulings come from.

I think I want to try something different in my game. This is coming from the RAW verbiage “First, you decide what perceivable circumstance will trigger your reaction. Then, you choose the action you will take in response to that trigger, or you choose to move up to your speed in response to it.”

I read that as, yes, a single action and trigger happens but you can decide what PERCEIVABLE circumstance will trigger the action. In the case of a more seasoned/experienced combatant - they can perceive multiple actions and potential responses to those actions at the same time, but in real time can only take that one response based on the trigger because of the speed of which things are happening.

Perhaps I could amend my rule as someone level 2 and above can do this or only martial characters (since they are seasoned fighters) can make use of this special amendment of readying an action.

Or maybe I’ll scrap it all and go with only allowing single circumstance reactions (as you all have interpreted). I think I’ll bring it up with my table and see how they feel.

I appreciate the responses so far!

Why the fuck do you even care where they vote from?

A vote is a vote. You must not want our armed services to vote. Guess how their votes get counted in many cases? Hint: not in person.

WindyRebel,

It’ll burn itself when if we all just ignore them and don’t use them while simultaneously spreading word of Lemmy when in conversation with others online.

WindyRebel,

Right? That’s who I wanted to post this article here. Everything Reddit is saying is just PR spin. I get that it’s their platform, but damn…they rely on the major contributors there to make them valuable.

It’s gross that they are putting the blame on those that cared and trying to backhandedly repair what they lost.

WindyRebel,

100%

Hopefully those that have moved over here to Lemmy are the ones that provided the most value and whatever is left will slowly make Reddit a terrible place to be and thus kill it.

WindyRebel,

Yeah, I do wonder if that’s what they want - bring back the old moss while having the new moss help out under the guise of “they are providing additional support to make your life easier!”

That gives the new mods free training and then Reddit can axe the old mods again. or maybe I am giving them too much credit.

WindyRebel,

This.

I agree with this so much that even undomesticated equines could not remove me.
