Greetings, sickos. I have no experience or interest in moderating, but boy would I love to see a technical death metal community. I see enough relevant content here that I wonder if anyone would be willing to start one. In any case, cheers - nice to see our particular type of degeneracy embraced online :)
I had the same thoughts when I started this community. I only wanted to post some Cattle Decapitation but surprise, there was no community. So I started it 🤷♂️
Hello /c/death_metal! I'm not sure what the plans for this community is but I really love the threads in the death metal subreddits and wondering whether there are plans for weekly threads. Here's a few albums I've been listening to a lot recently as they are so good! Definitely a wide mixture of death metal genres....
AI-TRIGGER WARNING: I've asked ChatGPT to revise my writing because it was ass (writing a stream of coherent looking text is not my forte). Proceed at your own discretion....
I'm still experimenting with the new formatting possibilities of this platform. So if you find any of the changes particularly awesome or abhorrent, please tell me....
If you haven’t played Sands of Inaros yet, buy the quest key and do it (and bring your best setup for scanning Kavats). If you have Inaros Prime, you can buy the Baro Void-Signal (one per visit) to access some special cosmetics.
Hey there, I am curious what everyone is reading and how you are feeling with it. I started demon copperhead yesterday, made it about 70 pages in and decided to read the first book in the chthulu CaseBooks. It's a kinda retelling of Sherlock Holmes but with a Lovecraft quist....
I read years ago the Organized Mind also by Daniel Levitin. It was too broad and became kind of meh after a while. It has many interesting ideas but you need to dig for them.
I knew before I started it it's gonna be one of the most important books I will ever read in my life. After the first 12% it hasn't disappointed a bit.
A colleague just introduced me to this Software and way of Note taking today. I was immediately hooked since I always liked this way of linking thoughts/notes but was never really able to implement that using your average Note App....
Figure out what you are going to use Obsidian for. And you can only do that by using throwaway vaults. (it is what it is)
Be inspired by different PKM systems and see their pro's and con's and how they relate to what you want to focus on with your PKM system defined at point 1
Don't spend loads of time with it. Scripting is not that useful as you may think. If you want to see how Templater works, just copy some YouTuber's script. Nick Milo and Danny Hatcher have good content about Obsidian.

Someone develops AI models to extract vocals out from death metal songs. Here's just one example (www.youtube.com)
The dude uploaded literally full albums without vocals on his channel. I wished something like this so bad before I fully got into death metal

What do you want to see in this community that differs from other book communities?
How would you like to see this place differ from Reddit/TikTok/YouTube etc. as a place to talk about books?

Need help on saving reddit threads (for post-blackout reasons) to Obsidian

Modding the Death Metal community
If anyone would like to moderate the community, don’t hesitate to DM me....
Cattle Decapitation - Terrasite (FULL ALBUM) (www.youtube.com)
I created the community so I can share this gem. I think Archspire and Cattle Decapitation are top of the food chain in the death metal scene
What do these buttons actually do? (lemmy.world)
I click on them and they only open the thread that contains the comment on which I pressed the button. Nothing more, nothing less.
Redundant communities across instances
As a new reddit exile, I may be misunderstanding this....
