[Question] How to get email working on Lemmy-Ansible install?

I used the ansible method to install Lemmy on a DigitalOcean VPS. They do block port 25 and there is no way around that. I tried to change the port from 25 to 465 in the config.hjson file but still no luck. I am super new to this but I want to get this working so bad. I’m so close! The site is working fine, just no emails....

I don’t know what that is so I’d assume not. I used the Lemmy ansible guide by the numbers, so if that is what the guide uses then yes, otherwise no.

Mixing romance and work is a bad idea. I mean Veronica, just the other day, she asked me if bullets came in different sizes. Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever heard?

The show formula is extremely predictable, to the point that it’s the guest victims job to foil Michael’s plan. Most of the time, this is foreshadowed by Mike asking them to not do the thing that they end up doing. It’s extremely annoying, but close to the end of the show, you get a few episodes of just Bruce being fucking amazing.

A few were invested in at the start but everyone quickly realized it was going nowhere. The regulatory agency tried to set up a few things to help but it was always going nowhere. IIRC, two of the organizations that filed were trying to get refunded and were threatening litigation.

Is an autism diagnosis worth it?

I ask this because of the cost. I am willing to pay for an assessment in the lower end of the high cost range which assessments typical have. However, I want to know what it would do for me, if I already have enough evidence showing I’m autistic? I want a therapist who can help me with struggles relevant to being autistic. But...

This. I’ve always known, but never got diagnosed. After struggling through life, I thought I could get help. So I was tested and got a plethora of things I wasn’t expecting. Now I’m being treated for other things and the ASD diagnosis only confirms what I had always known about why things are different (i.e. I didn’t always know I had ASD, but I’ve always known that things are different). But my life is undoubtedly better now and had I grown up in a healthy environment, I may have known all these things much earlier and may not have needed to struggle for so long.

I used to do wind studies in remote regions in Alaska. We have very reliable albeit low velocity winds during the winter months. Just FYI.

Yes, it’s what we call low velocity wind. It tends to be very laminar even at low altitudes due to the lower brush and tundra. There were some low velocity turbine concepts at the time but there was just no interest for it. But there is a massive energy resource available at a time when you need it here most. Hopefully things change. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have no doubt that the second that FF gains a sizeable market share they will just turn in to literally every other corporation that has ever existed. They’re not special, they’re not your friend. They are selling a product to make money. And while they’re struggling, they are working their asses off to make a good product that beats the alternatives.

So until FF announced their intention to DC, I’m not telling a fucking soul.

Holy shit, this makes sense to me. I’m in a historically red state and our RCV is massively disliked by the Trumpers. They also lost the last election. If the incumbent DC voters see RCV as a reason they would lose their current candidates, they would say the same shit. And they are.

That may be so, but the link that they give references a digital ocean guide that DOES (it’s literally step 2). So, am I just ignoring that part? How do I figure out which parts of a guide should be followed and which ones shouldn’t?

I figured out the problem, digital ocean was only applying the top RSA key, which is my Putty key. The keys I added to DO via WSL were not getting added to the authorized key list. So I added my key to the authorized keys file and it worked. Well, it let ansible access the server. I’m having other issues but will work on them later.
