cyberpunk was buggy but fundamentally sound. starfield is flawed in its core, no amount of bug fixing or system tweaking is going to fix it. they’d have to cut out space and planets entirely.

EA didn’t have time to fuck up DAO after buying BioWare.

but then you can’t promote george clooney in all the marketing to draw people in.

either it’s murder or it isn’t, can’t have it both ways, republicans.

I suspect the future of gaming laptops may very well lie in external GPUs.

idunno, we’ve been saying that for years and it just isn’t catching on. I think it’s just too complicated to support, market, etc.

say goodbye to motorsports without being able to greenwash oil.

also this prevents a rogue prosecutor and judge from convicting a presidential candidate and blocking them from running. this way it is up to the people, whether the conviction is legitimate or not.

to be clear i am not saying trump’s conviction is illegitimate, just speaking generally. i could definitely see a world where trump pushes for this with a Democrat candidate (remember all the “lock her up” stuff?). i hope the legal system is robust enough to appeal a rogue situation but at some point it may not be.

it could also be an amendment to the constitution if enough states agree but that’s probably even less likely.

and i’m not sure it should be. i could definitely see a world where trump pushes for conviction of a Democrat candidate (remember all the “lock her up” stuff?). i hope the legal system is robust enough to appeal a rogue court situation but at some point it may not be. And elections are time sensitive, would the appeal even finish before the election?

flawed as it may be this could be the best solution to guard against authoritarianism.

exactly, imagine her overseeing a BS felony trial on Biden or whatever other D candidate.

Upper age restriction

instead of this I would like to see independent physical and mental acuity tests performed and released publicly. no need to bring age into it if they are fit. and if they aren’t fit they shouldn’t be able to run even if they’re young.

they’re going to wait to do this last so they can keep his old (low) cap hold on the books while they sign free agents and make trades.

hybrids might be a PART of the way, but there’s absolutely no reason they need to be the only way. For many many use cases BEVs already work better than hybrids and those cases are only going to grow in number as the charging infrastructure is built out and energy storage tech improves. Maybe there will always be fringe cases where hybrids are practical, maybe not.

could also just be as simple as getting people’s feet in the door to their marketplace. if you already have an account maybe you’ll be fractionally more likely to buy other stuff in the store. multiply that by a few million or whatever… it’s not nothing.

npr and associated press are free and not for profit.

acosmichippo,
@acosmichippo@lemmy.world avatar

obviously nothing is literally “free”, that’s a trivial point to make. operational funds have to come for somewhere. The point was there’s no additional cost to the reader (that they aren’t already paying for) to get news from those sources and they don’t depend on ad revenue or data monetization to make a profit.

acosmichippo,
@acosmichippo@lemmy.world avatar

that’s a lot different than just running a video clip.

The redundancy is already there since we have 32 teeth to begin with. If you lose one or two it’s not really a big deal.

And there’s a fine line between helpful regrowth and cancer. the more regrowth there is, the more likelihood there is of cancer.

hm forced labor sounds quite socialist to me. mr conservative, why don’t you let these kids explore the open market for their labor?
