They can handle it, and they do filter it out of you, but it is a slow process that takes a lot of time compared to how the body processes other waste products. The danger is that mycotoxins are harmful in extremely small amounts, so any extended accumulation is harmful.

Exactly. It seems like a lot of the research in this area is quite new (last 5 years or so), so we’re always learning more! And from my understanding, the LD50 probably isn’t that important for most people for these toxins, it’s more at what levels do they start causing detectable symptoms and by how far do they raise your risk of cancers and other diseases. “The poison is in the dose”, but just because it doesn’t kill you instantly doesn’t mean it’s not hurting you in the long term.

That’s pretty bad. My 12 Pro that I got shortly after the release is at 82%. I know the aging isn’t linear, but at 1035 cycles I’d say that’s pretty good…

And you don’t have to show up to the train station that long before your scheduled departure compared to flights. Train stations are also centrally located for most people compared to airports. My thinking has been that if it’s around 5-7 hrs by train, the flight will be faster but the time you spend waiting for the flight makes the time you spend pretty much equal out.

What would you recommend as a first Apple Watch?

I have an iPhone, iPad and AirPods but I’ve never used an Apple Watch. My main uses at least at first would be to monitor heart rate when exercising and record lifting routines at the gym via Strong app. I use my iPhone at the gym now and find it a hassle to take in and out of my pocket to record reps. The always on display to me seems pretty useless, particularly considering the relatively short battery life of the Apple Watch compared to other fitness watches. I have a series 6 and never have an issue with my screen not turning on because you generally have to lift or turn your arm to see the watch.

Personally I don’t really think so. There is a Plex app, you can connect infuse to Plex too, and there are emby and jellyfin apps. Plus, PWAs work fine for overseerr and the like.

Are you still having issues with the download feature? It was definitely a disaster at first, but it’s gotten way more reliable and responsive over the past few months it seems.

Edit: I ask because I’ve seen quite a few “fixes” that people have advertised that seemed to work for a bit, and could dig them up for you if you needed.

I can personally say that downloading works much better for me now. So I’d recommend giving it another shot! I definitely agree that it was terrible and fully supported LTTs stance as of a few months ago, so maybe the Plex team decided to prioritize that…

I’m not sure if you got any replies to this yet, but if your switches aren’t currently designed for shine-thru, that could help alleviate the spot-light like glow by diffusing the light around a bit more.
