My earlier discussion regarding weapon options for most RPGs now has me thinking about loadouts and encumbrance. lets you carry too much damn stuff. I've ruck marched with a heavy load and no one wants to do that, ever.

@bedirthan I think about not even weight, but bulk. Like I clearly need to learn from DnD characters packing skills because I have no idea what kind of bags they have that they can stash it away w/ it jutting out awkwardly/causing any problems.

@bedirthan I just took a look and it is Wonderful!! It echoes a lot of the ideas I was musing about for my "ice hockey in Eberron" idea (which may someday come true given I found I do like GMing!) - letting players get in on the ground floor/influence rules w/ their actions because systems aren't fully developed yet, framing it around a space-race/Olympics esque desire to compete/prove dominance after the no-clear-winner end to the Last War, etc. Such fun and neat stuff.

Gearing up for GMing my first #DnD session, and players are making their characters in Roll20 ... which also means I can see that 3/4 characters so far all have multiple-syllable names starting with 'A'. Count of how many times I confuse them starts now.

The goal is to put the most common in the middle and the least on the outside of this simple curve.
