There are security concerns. Cars are the worst product category for privacy. The issue is that goes for all cars, not just cars from opposing superpowers.
Hope it’s not as bad as I think (“as bad as I think” means “mass killings;”) What else can I do? Everyone else here seems to be privileged enough to have the skills or plain cash to say “I’ll go somewhere else,” isn’t as worried as they should be, or think they’re Apocalypse Badass Man (see: accelerationists.) Pretty much, the Republican party all the way up to Trump doesn’t even hide that they’re anti-Democracy, and attempts to break democratic systems that underpin our entire government nay our way of life are basically out in the open.
Game Pass is a profoundly stupid decision. It doesn’t make it’s money back and now Xbox users are used to not paying for games. And from a consumer perspective, enshittification always eventually happens with subscriptions.
FOSS is strongly supported by communists, but there’s also strong support for it from right-libertarians (when I was younger I remember the stereotype being that Linux users believed taxation was theft)

My issue is that this is the kind of law I’d traditionally associate with China, and. I do think we should be harder on foreign influence but I think it erodes our freedom to do it like this. Especially given that nothing is being done about AIPAC or white nationalist Russian asset Elon Musk.
I also worry a conservative will buy it and boost manosphere, white nationalist, etc. content more. And as it is TikTok boosts these people, intentionally or not.
I know it’s not completely unprecedented, something similar happened to Grindr, but this is a higher profile case.
Banning social media is not good and it’s something China would do. What we need is better education. If people want to give up all their data then let them do it, but they need to be informed about it.
I think TikTok should be banned or forced to change operations under laws that will also apply to X and Meta. Because social media really does need to be reined in, but I do not agree with only applying it to the Chinese one.
Grief…doesn’t motivate you. In movies, guys like me, people who have had loved ones killed through prejudices and big evil organizations 🐘 do something about it. Whether that’s activism or something more illegal. But I was way more aggressive about my political views before my girlfriend died. It makes me feel like crossdressing, so I do. Occasionally I see an outfit that needs at least B cups to work (usually something with a boob window) and it makes me feel jealous I don’t have that.
But I’m with you, I completely disagree with the comment saying men’s fashion is interesting if you look for it. It’s not, the only forms of men’s fashion that are interesting are the forms that society has labeled “feminine.” Going into a store and seeing all the men’s clothes in neutrals and actual variety in the women’s cemented my interest in crossdressing.
If Stone Temple Pilots ever does that acoustic tour focusing on their softer songs they cancelled due to COVID (they’ve toured since but not that particular idea.) Perdida is one of my favorite “post-prime” albums from any band, and in general STP’s softer material is what makes them one of my favorites.
