@andycarolan I just don't like it at all, Andy. And I don't know what to do, because everyone seems to be adding this stuff all at once, and users don't know enough to make decisions or protect themselves, by the time it catches up with them it'll be too late. I want to nip it all in the bud right now in my life. I'm just dreading it ending up in my banking app or healthcare related stuff. UGH.

@andycarolan Whoa, not sure I've ever met a GenXer who didn't learn to skateboard! 😉 mostly teasing, but I dated (for a really long time) a guy with a group of friends that were pretty hardcore skateboarders. It was definitely a thing here during the 90s in the PNW and Portland with the Burnside skatepark.

Is this a hack? Why can't we set multiple background colors?

background: linear-gradient(to right, var(--btn-bg), var(--btn-bg)), var(--background);

What I mean is layering colors, where one layer has an alpha channel.

@adam you can mix solid and colors with alpha in gradients, but here what I'm using a gradient to "hack", is just as you can "stack" bg images, gradients, and solid color in a background, why we cannot similarly "stack" layers of color, mixing solid and colors with alpha channels to mix the colors overlaying one another, like:
