Okay, so, proposal to get rid of the phone part of our pocket computers, go back to having a single solitary place for a call, which defaults to a message/voicemail, and is the expected result of calling said phone, instead of this stupid always-with-you-yet-you-never-get-or-take-the-call game we are playing now.
Weird content styleguide question: do you provide yourself rules on which <hx> level heading is title-case, sentence-case, etc? or is that just me?
My apologies to anyone who signed up for #WeblogPoMo while I slept and have yet to show up on the Participators list!
There was an unplanned snafu with the form and I didn't get the additional people added, I'm so sorry!
If you would still like to be added, you can message me here, or if you are an omg.lol member and on discourse.lol add your info to the WeblogPoMo post, or find me in the omg.lol Discord.
@starshaped My issue is probably not entirely on Drupal, but with web tech generally, and I've blogged about that. It just happened to manifest with Drupal because that is what I lived in for so long.
@anniegreens I thought iOS wouldn't update an app beyond whatever version it supports? I've not heard of it doing what you’re describing before. Sounds really frustrating.
Now that I have iPadOS 17 on my iPad and Sonoma on my Mac, I am back to the fact that this makes Noto Emoji not appear in Safari 17. To be clear, Noto Emoji works fine in iOS 16 Safari on my iPhone and worked fine in Safari 17 on Ventura. This is fairly annoying.
I haven't had much energy since I came inside from yard work, I'm actually in a pretty bad pre-crash state, but I'm all of sudden all worked up over the bullshit AI that is now enabled by default for all new Micro.blog users. Fucking hell.
@anniegreens micro.blog’s development priorities are so frustrating. Love the community, but the choices Manton makes are almost always wrong for how I use micro.blog. More apps and more platforms instead of fixing long-standing bugs. New features instead of improving old ones. More AI integration instead of fixing eternally recurring performance problems.
Hmm, well, I need to find a better way to get the card image on my @3x5 posts. So far not satisfied with how it is going: a) Mastodon drops OG images after a week; b) the OG preview isn't consistent; c) pulling the image from the content means the text would also be there and I don't know that I want that? but that is my next test case.
@nhoizey hey! I see you requested to follow me on one of my other accounts, and that is totally fine! I just want to be sure it is the account you intended. Sorry to make things difficult, I may have four Mastodon accounts 🫤 and the one you requested is mostly birds and gardening (which is awesome!) but this one is mainly web and front-end and wanted to let you know!
