#Anime fan, player of way too much #FateGrandOrder, I also play #TTRPG with a particular fondness for #RuneQuest.

This is probably the first of several toots I’ll be making over the next several months. FYI there is a maximum of 365 days to the next Australian Federal election. By my calculations/experience 17/05/2025 is the last Saturday that would enable full Senate counting and return of the writs by 30/06/2025, which is constitutionally required to enable the new Senators to take their seats. The earliest election date of 3/8/2024 is 78 days away.

We were watching the new and I kept wondering who Mariko was supposed to correspond to historically and then they referred to her father as "Akechi" so she's definitely supposed to be Hosokawa Gracia.

Like, "he shows up to their battles with a big foam finger" level enthusiastic.

Welcome back to the . Today, we're on Season 1, Episode 8, "Defense and Third Event."

Even though it's in the episode title, the third event isn't really all that important. Instead, the focus is on Maple gaining two of her most valuable skills and my personal favorites: Atrocity and Machine God. While the fights themselves are not to the same standard as ones we've seen or will see, they still show off Maple's evergrowing power within the game and the ways she utilizes her skills in creative ways - as long as she doesn't mind no longer being human.

@AWanderingSorcerer I think this is getting towards the point where the other members of Maple Tree just give up on caring about the new obscenely unbalanced thing that Maple can do now and just get on with their gaming lives. She exists, she’s a goddess (or near enough), and SHE’S ON THEIR SIDE, that will have to do… 😂🤣😂🤣

In a fairly fluffy sort of a way the latest episode of probably needs a content warning. For all sorts of things. Still it does end on a hopeful note, and the OP does suggest brighter times ahead.

I only just noticed, and you can’t put this into a hashtag, but the torture in the title of is in Scare Quotes on , i.e it presents as “‘Tis Time For “Torture,” Princess”. Which is a) hilarious and b) so apt for this show. :)
