There’s a family of them near where I live in Canberra. I think I counted 6 but it may have been more. I’m always happy to see native wildlife thriving in the suburbs but then I realise I’ve lived here for years and years and never seen nor heard them here, it’s likely because of their loss of habitat due to the Orroral valley fire during black summer.

I’m also pretty conscious of all the animals listed in the article that they have to compete with - all in abundance here.

I tried Kombucha for the first time the other day.

I don’t get it.

It wasn’t terrible but I’d rather have a beer or a juice. Not whatever that was.

I guess it’s like I can’t find a use case for it. Maybe I’ll try it again but it didn’t grab me the first time. I’m a savoury drink fan - bloody Mary’s and super dirty dry martinis are my favourite.

Maybe it was the carbonation I didn’t like. Things to ponder…

The damaged tree likely could still have been a home for animals. This, not so much.

I don’t understand the need so many feel to make sure that human fingerprints are visible on everything. Like carving initials in trees, spray painting on boulders, stacking stones at the beach.

Can’t we look out at the natural world and see that it’s the absence of us, or absence of any signs we were there that makes it beautiful?

You’re probably right with regards to this tree. Couldn’t it have been carved as something more in keeping with the natural environment though? I suppose a fucking human hand is emblematic of environmental destruction so maybe it fits.

I’m up a lot earlier than usual and I’ve had too much coffee and this has me cry laughing. Thank you.

Shorter princess makes up for it with loooong arm.

This is quite beautiful though. I like the colours and the comfortable way they hold each other.

The bucks are. I politely say hello, apologise for the intrusion and move along. If I have my dog with me, he’s on a short lead and we gtfo.

Funnily enough I thought he’d already gone there

Yeah Bale’s Batman does nothing for me but the villains are exceptional.

boogetyboo,
@boogetyboo@aussie.zone avatar

Why?

What do you think this photo series is depicting?

boogetyboo,
@boogetyboo@aussie.zone avatar

I get the feeling this isn’t real, some how

boogetyboo,
@boogetyboo@aussie.zone avatar

Fewer.

Grammar is still important even if you’re in possession of WMD.

The comic is depicting the character in the movie, not just his weapon of choice. It’s worth watching.

This woman had access to a gun.

In my country, I literally don’t know anyone who owns a gun. I wouldn’t even know where to start to get one. I suppose I could drive out to the bush and a farmer would have a rifle. But that’s about it.

I’d otherwise need criminal associates to access one.

How did she have one? Why was it so easy for her to get in a very isolated, specific state of psychosis?

boogetyboo,
@boogetyboo@aussie.zone avatar

And that’s truly fucked

boogetyboo,

Mm something something you are beautiful… Something

Yeah I’m super confused that they have to pay to opt out. You in Australia? I also have the little sticker. Honour system at work maybe?

Mangled hands actually work in this. I’m sure dislocations and breaks to fingers were pretty common when handling rigging etc
