bouldering_barista,

This is a win. Here’s hoping this is our standard going forward and this doesn’t get brought back up under future administrations.

bouldering_barista,

This is good news! Trans students will just be using the bathroom, cisgender students are the ones that may be abusing this with negative intentions.

Stay kind, everyone!

bouldering_barista,

I’m also pro-electric for the betterment of shifting to renewables, etc., but I also understand that people who have been using gas for a long time will need to adjust. Goodonya for being willing to adjust at least! And as someone else here said (kind of) - not all electric units are made equally so you might have to do some research/experimentation to see what works best for ya

bouldering_barista,

I just watched this the other night and it was really good! I was never a sk8tr girl but WOW that guy that won the last challenge was amazing. Kept his feet on the board all the way through

bouldering_barista,

I used to worry about that too! Thankfully Leslie Nielson always was the true star so the movies hold up

bouldering_barista,

The world needs more good people like this! Trans kids are just kids… Let them live their lives.

bouldering_barista,

Sometimes all it takes is one or two people to have a good heart and do the right thing. It’s a positive shock for sure

bouldering_barista,

I just keep buying more banned books when I see articles like this!

Gotta support those authors. Sometimes these books are perfect for the little free libraries around town too

bouldering_barista,

She handled that reporter trying to derail like a pro. Good on her!

bouldering_barista,

This is a VERY good way to get more women and younger people out to the polls. Hopefully enough to get Florida back to a good place

bouldering_barista,

“I’m a trans person, and I support this ad” -me

bouldering_barista,

Completely agree with you, I’ve met some amazing men before! The comic really drives home the fact though that the small amount of bad and violent men out there are why women have to always be at least a little on guard to protect ourselves when men approach us. And yes, no doubt there are bad and violent women out there too

bouldering_barista,

Looks like a must watch for me! I love all things Conan and his adventures end up with some of the most random yet funny situations. Marry me, Conan!

NAACP to Black student-athletes: Take your talents elsewhere amid Florida anti-DEI efforts (www.oregonlive.com)

Earlier this month, the University of Florida closed its Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, eliminating 13 full-time DEI positions and 15 administrative appointments. This came after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill called the Stop Woke Act last year, which prohibits the use of state funds for any DEI programs.

bouldering_barista,

It’s time for a ‘Stop Bigots Act’ to keep idiots like Desantis from taking our country backwards

bouldering_barista,

I started transitioning in my 30s. I took YEARS before I ever came out to family/most of my friends. I took my time because I have kids and I didn’t want to rush anything. (Also, I had to build up the courage to come out haha). During the years of me socially transitioning I started updating my wardrobe to be more andro, started growing my hair out, practicing light makeup occasionally, etc.

After a couple years I started feeling more ready and I started coming out to friends. Felt good, felt freeing to be able to be myself around them. Then I came out to my immediate family (parents, siblings , children)- by far the hardest part. Not long after, I was out at work. I do feel that me having a head start of two years of dialing in my hormones really helped make me coming out socially that much easier. I don’t regret taking my time on the social transition!

Even after taking a coupl years before starting my social transition I knew there was more to come, and here 7 years later I do feel like I still am transitioning even though I’m passing pretty much all the time. Life is a journey, and transitioning is a long journey even when done well. No surgery or wardrobe change can make things happen overnight. I’ve enjoyed the journey and I’m excited for each year ahead as I continue 😊

bouldering_barista,

I’ve leased my last few vehicles and it’s worked great for me personally. I don’t mean to make it sound like I can’t afford it. Leasing isnt for everyone I totally understand.

In this case, I think leasing is especially something I want to do because the EV world will be changing over the next few years and by the time a 3 year lease runs out there should be more options (new and used) out there

bouldering_barista,

Just bought my first EV… Reading crap like this makes me happy I’m pissing on the oil execs

bouldering_barista,

Free electricity? Check. Living in a city where I’m a 15 minute walk to grocery, food, coffee, and more? Check.

Having to drive to work 25 miles away is where most of my driving happens.
