@mike Good morning! I think I found a recently introduced bug in Flipboard's sharing feature. I work on @morehubbub and customers are reporting that Flipboard is no longer pulling in the og:description that is provided. Can someone on your team confirm this for us? @cabel Something I noticed about the Panic blog's HTML is that it doesn't have <link>s for icon, apple-touch-icon, shortcut icon, etc. so it shows the default WordPress logo in feed readers and elsewhere. Panic's logo mark is just too juicy not to have in that spot so I thought I'd let you know.

Dear Vision Pro owning and programming friends, I have a question about Sandwich's new app.

The promo video shows them placing a television on a surface. Apparently with surface snapping. I thought that's only available in full-immersion spaces. Apps in that mode don't allow multitasking though. But then they show windows of different apps.

How? Did I miss something?

The younger people here might not remember how dramatically better a form factor the iPad 2 was over the original iPad. It was hard to believe it was a year-over-year update; at the time, Samsung even halted its imminent Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in a panic and went back to the drawing board to try and achieve something closer to the iPad design.

I think perhaps Vision Pro 2 needs to be an iPad 2; make the [inevitable] competitors panic.

@stroughtonsmith I’ve been thinking about this every time I see a Vision Pro. I had both of these iPads. I couldn’t believe the dramatic improvements. I think AVP will have multiyear iterations that feel this dramatic. If Apple keeps investing.

@siracusa Do you have a go-to website to compare our Intel machines to the current batch of M-series machines for real world tasks? Geekbench numbers aren't necessarily helpful. I want to know if OneDrive or Spotlight indexing still cripple a computer on the regular. As I approach the time to upgrade, I’m beginning to wonder what configuration I should aim for. But I have no point of reference, having never owned an M-series device.

@siracusa Good point. fileproviderd seems to be my biggest bottle neck day-to-day. I suppose I'd mostly be looking forward to a computer that doesn't drain a battery within 2 hours and that I cannot cook a steak on. :) Other than that, I’m still very happy with my Intel Mac.

If you’re a solo creator / founder, don’t underestimate how powerful Apple Notes and Reminders can be. If you set ‘em up right you can save a bunch of money instead of buying productivity apps that cost a monthly fee.

I feel like I need 8 cups of coffee flowing directly into my veins to keep up with shit. It's all this rise and grind, side hustle till exhaustion culture we're drowning in. Is burning out by 35 and destroying your mental and physical health really "killing it"? Fuck no. There's more to life than chasing the profit dragon until you have nothing left to give.
