This year’s WWDC may be the most important for Apple in many years. They haven’t found themselves behind the competition very often in over a decade. However, they are grossly behind with Siri. So far behind that if there is not demonstrable improvement (that is in the realm of magic) they may need to rename their voice assistant in the future and several executive’s jobs could be at risk.

Do they do this just to confuse us? Or, am I misreading the HIG?
@gruber@cdevroe yeah, just clumsy. Even today on MacOS when you try to click and drag to select in a right-to left language (like arabic) you have to do it the language's way.
@pfefferle@nathan I don't think you need to change it. I think Mastodon would need a more generic label (or an explanation) on their profile view since not all of the accounts are strictly Mastodon accounts. It is only slightly confusing because Mastodon isn't as old as your blog!
@cdevroe I find the on-screen controls to be surprisingly good, and they'll definitely work in a pinch if I just want to kill five minutes playing a level or two of Super Mario Bros. — but I completely agree. Those games were made to be controlled by pushing buttons, and a touch screen will never be as good.

Anecdotally, I can tell you that mindshare in Flipboard among our customers is on the rise. Traffic from Flipboard to their sites is increasing, more people are talking about Flipboard in FB Groups and elsewhere, and some are interacting with it again when they hadn't in a while. Kudos to you and the entire team. 👏
My Saturday: 4:30am to 6am is for catching up on toots. 6am to 10am is for scanning negs, coding, etc. 10am to 11am is for grocery shopping to make tonight’s chopped cheese. 11am to 3pm is for yard work. 3pm to 4pm is for cleaning up and cooking. 4pm to 5pm is cocktail hour. 5pm to 6pm is for dining. 6pm to 9pm is for card games. 9pm to 10pm is for winding down. 10pm Zzz.
Browsing my Mastodon feed inside of @Flipboard is a fun experience. It reminds me a bit of @pipilo. Intentional, big, and immersive. The opposite of doom scrolling. We have many great options to view all of the amazing art, music, poetry, thoughtful discourse, photographs, and so much more across the fediverse. 👏
