I just saw a diagram about "plastics" that did not categorize them.

Total failure, if you ask me.

Once again I am feeling happy about blocking those Mask Nazis who do not like my message that the disease is now ENDEMIC and this means not OVER but WITH US FOREVER -- and that you cannot expect people to wear masks FOREVER.

Meanwhile, yesterday at the optometrist the health professionals put on what looked like nice surgical masks but I think my wife and I were the only people there wearing actual N95 masks.

We don’t make a fuss.

It would be nice if descriptions of hobby saw blades said whether they were push or pull, instead of one having to infer by various means.

One could, of course, do searches.

I inferred that Tamiya blades would be pull, because they are Japanese. Then I blew up a picture of the tool and looked at the teeth and they looked pull. So I bought the little tool and it is indeed pull. Because Excel blades looked push.

Then I found I HAD two of the ‘fine’ Excel blades, and they are indeed push.

What some people have not absorbed yet about COVID-19 is the meaning of the disease being "endemic".

They think this is something people say to mean "The pandemic is over". They could not be more wrong. In a sense the pandemic is over, but that just means we are in a new phase.

It means that the disease is now with us FOREVER.

And what I will tell you is you cannot reasonably expect people to wear masks FOREVER.

People can wear masks if they will, but I say don't be a Mask Nazi.

Some people have rendered aphorisms, or proverbs, or things they said merely as part of a scheme to make themselves more famous, that make no sense when you take Hitler into account. We must account for all such cases. There are actually many besides Hitler. Hitler was not, as some would have it, unique.

Mask Nazis were just yesterday wishing shame forever on me. I have bags of N95 masks stacked in the closet. That tells you about Mask Nazis. They did this even though I am not coming to visit them and would cancel if it were on my schedule. :)

I am amused by the folk upset that they donated their work to Duolingo and now Duolingo is, like, using it.

Yeah, that's how it works when you donate stuff. My fonts are all over the Internet. I don't get a red cent from that, because I DONATED them.

I’m a ‘senior citizen’ fibromite with the bug to do something with his hands.

This is probably a familiar figure for the ‘occupational therapist’ professionals out there.

The universe of the Bible is a flat land with a dome over it. Above the dome there is water.

Below the flat land, I forget what there is supposed to be, if anything specific.

All this is nonsense.

This is proof that both Judaism and Christianity are false.

It is simply PROOF that they are FALSE.

But go on as you will. Make whatever excuses you will make. Have your fun.

I have proof that the traditional beliefs of my people (let us not call it a ‘religion’) are FALSE.

It looks to me as if I can use one of my microfiber towels in lieu of a ‘buffing pad’ for the wood wax I have applied to my whittled letter opener.

Yes.

BTW I used a Scotchbrite on it earlier and that seemed to take off a few bits. But I did not care too much. It is supposed to look rough.

But basswood can look only ’so’ ready to take on the world. This will be a letter opener one dare not drop, for fear of it being destroyed by the fall. It was merely for the exercise of whittling it.

Do people realize that it’s only the billionaires that suck that they hear about?

There might be billionaires elsewhere that do not suck, AT LEAST in the way people imagine.

Now, mind you, no one ought to have that much wealth, WITHOUT putting it to productive WORK.

The worth of a billionaire is mostly on paper. It is equity. It is shares in companies that have stock values. What Zuck has shares in is worth whatever you think it is worth. People in my feed tend to undervalue it, I think ...

I did just a little dremel work (making alterations to the plastic box I made for holding coping saw blades) and now I am pacing around the house due to multiple discomforts. Fibromyalgia is a big mess.

(I started by using the coping saw itself, but this did not work so well. I used a plastic cutting saw blade, but this also worked poorly. A milling bit, a burr, and wool buffing cylinders worked great. On styrene the last is like a fine file.)

Did I memtion that when I went looking for my miniature Tesla coil kit I found there also a digital clock kit?

Without case. So that could be another adventure, if I wish: to make a case for it. Or one could leave it ‘open air’.

In one or two instances, I have simply done such as mount something on spaced phenolic boards, with rubber feet at the bottom, but otherwise left open to the air.

There are also rote-practice kits. I know one is surface mount devices and merely places to solder them.

I whittled a letter opener out of basswood.

It’s not the best letter opener material, but I am not the best whittler.

Of course you can do this with many objects in air, as long as they aren't things like feathers that can glide. :)

Galileo, I believe, did it by rolling things down inclined planes, so he could get good timings.

I have been having screamingly painful upper back spasms for a long time now, since doing the least physical labor, such as making that Stern-Gerlach Beads box that worked so poorly.

Fibromyalgia probably is involved. Certainly it is involved in the degree of pain. I have been screaming, literally.

Bad back is nothing new. Upper back since teen years, lower back since 30s. Thank goodness these are upper back spasms. Lower back spasms are so fricking ANNOYING. Uncomfortable in every way.

Mein little keppele hurts enough that I cannot really do any work on my ‘"" is "confirmed" the same way I am "confirmed" to be an old Jew’ (IOW yeah, it gives the same results as plain old physics would give, IF you gave the latter a chance) toolkit.

So I think I shall go lie down, instead.

Here, side-by-side, is the same calculation in ordinary probability theory, and in quantum mechanics.

It is for the two-channel optical Bell test, which is supposed to ‘confirm ’.

These procedures give exactly the same results.

If you object to including the H and V information in the system state, remove it. Remove it from the probability theory results, too. You still get the same results, either way.

The 2022 Nobel in Physics is horseshit. Pure animal caca.

I bought the Dremel router table and it came with garbage FLAT HEAD wood screws, and washers, for mounting it.

I mean, what?

I used better screws and washers, and they were PAN HEAD screws that I used.

Who likes my old-school (but not vintage) multimeter? These are supposed to be very good. I have had it long but haven't had many opportunities to use it.

I also have a fancy but garbagy digital multimeter made from a kit, and one of those under $10 digital ones that work fine.

There is nothing like the supposed mathematical scientist who is so terrible at mathematics that they are scared to read my non-quantum mechanical derivation of the correlation of the two-channel optical Bell test experiment.

It is simply applying the straightforward formula for correlation to the case where one of the PBSes is set to zero. Then you merely add zero twice in the right place.

You get the answer!

Why can’t quantum physicists do this, you ask? They are supergeniuses, right?

I am in distress.

I have been doing the sort of things, like little bits of woodwork, that people do, but I have fibromyalgia.

I will recover. Give me time.
