At my annual physical this morning, the nurse asked questions they’ve never asked before. One was, “Are you sometimes sad?" I wanted to answer, “Aren’t you?” But I just said, “Sure, sometimes.”

LA food diary.

Some of you know I’m a big fan of LA food. I think that dollar for dollar you get a tremendous amount of cuisines, varieties of foods, in this melting pot which feels to me like it has far more immigrant and working class food than the Bay Area. Even the density and quality of ‘fancy food’ is high!

I’m keeping a record of my LA 2024 discoveries.

@fabio interesting! I’ll check out your link. In my case I don’t have it running locally — I just pay for a box that’s underpowered for video and perfectly fine for music so I don’t have to manage it. I just mount the music I actively listen to as a volume on the box.

The Supabase portion comes into play when I display my charts on my site — https://coryd.dev/now. I can write the listens from Plex scrobbles out to there and read them in via the API.

@starbreaker yeah, I don’t have much in the way of solutions, but culprits feel a bit easier to point at. How you resolve any of this though, is to your point, an open question — it feels like trying to unwind an incredibly tangled networking cabinet.
