For some, like me, the internet was actually the thing that opened a portal through which i could find things in the real world.

In the patch of land where i live, its a boring hell of loneliness, boring conservative people, barely any helpful infrastructure, no clubs or creative events

So closing the laptop would be the same for ma, as closing the portal and ending stranded in social desert hell

I was never specially sensitive to <Sounds> but always to a mix of voices talking around and the experience how they "hammer" into my brain, going beyond my information processing bandwidth

I LOVE exactly because the clients like Gajim are just slim and functional, nowhere like the eye candy distractions and bloatware that people seem to accept these days

But its ok if people just prefer it, or if they love to play with modern "community building features"

All i wish is interoperability, like i can use my XMPP or to write with people who are stubborn to have Telegram as the holy one and only messenger.

Matrix has certainly some issues, one of them is that its using a kind of blockchain scheme for encryption keys, which can make access to long-running private conversations and chatrooms extremely resource-demanding.

At least Matrix is the only one open messenger that modern people somewhat accept, and its promising to see its building bridges to other messengers

  • doesnt drink or smoke
  • aromantic, just want to be with like-minded buddies
  • can not deal with loud dance parties or crammed full munches (autism and some HSP), but would totally love to go to calm events
  • fetish-kink-SM as a passion, a true defining part of life, not as a "spice" over a romantic love

Sometimes i hate myself so much, that i wish i could kill this "true me" and instead be able to "just go along" with the succesful people

As the various servers are literally like villages and cities everywhere around, and the streets between them can be very brittle, gated, locked, or oneway.

I feel often very lost here and can unfortunately understand everyone prefering big monolithic services for this reason.

But still its the nicest place i know, as followup to the good old web forums.

I had tried to get started on Bluesky because i know furries/rubberfurs, who aggresively pull in their friends to join BS

I also note the effect that people are too tired to manage "another app" and therefore neglect Fediverse

But i can alsp say, beeing on BS is VERY depressing experience if you are looking for actual conversation with people, expect to get lierally ZERO response ever

That site is tailored for influencer accounts and their tenthousands of passive followers

I've been getting requests for a Couch - to - exercise routine, mostly from ponies who want to do dressage.

I think the routine they want needs to focus equally on cardio, lower body static strength, and core strength. Those are the areas dressage routines really test.
