Modern problems require modern solutions.

Because of my position in US hockey, I get a lot of deals and offers on products. It's cool.

Today, a new stick manufacturer posted they got NHL approval to begin using their sticks in the league. I commented congrats and that I would check out their sticks as my son and I need new ones.

Someone from there chatted me and asked a bunch of questions about our needs for sticks and I told them my son is sponsored now, but that its expiring.

This guy walks me through every...

I've stayed with the Classic editor on all this time, and today I'm installing a new site and thought, okay, I'll try this block editor that is supposed to be the future of WP and holy shit, it's an inscrutable train wreck.

It wouldn't matter, except that themes are apparently starting to require it. Seriously, it's so unintuitive that I could see it driving me away from WP altogether.

danarel,

@stevefoerster I am used to it now, and actually getting kind of good at it, but it took me so long!

After starts and stops, and reworks, and the lot, I am officially ending ThinkPrivacy.

I want to focus more heavily on my coaching career and coach education, while also exceeding at my day job which pays the bills and makes the rest possible.

Too many side projects and turning hobbies and interests into projects distracts from my goals.

So I started a second twitter account (just to reserve the handle) and only followed 1 single non-political account and the FYP is literally already filled with nothing but anti-trans content.

danarel,

@simonegetoffthephone it is, but it’s also still one of the most active for engagement and one of the main sources of my secondary income.

danarel,

@simonegetoffthephone I get some information here, but my audience is coaches, specifically coaches who are members of The Coaches Site, or potential members, who would be interested in reading my work. I hope someday they make it here, but twitter and linkedin are the best audiences so far.

What an absolute honor to speak this week at The Coaches Site Live coaches conference in front of over 400 hockey coaches from around the world. Met and shared ideas with some of the sports best minds.

I'm at an @EndlessOS retreat, and we have dismantled a TV, for reasons. Why does the PCB have "ARSNAL CHELSEA" printed near the top?!

Close-up of the board: Arsnal Chelsea 2029.04.09 Code: BN41-01149B Size: 192X175mm/1.2T

danarel,

@wjt @EndlessOS I will only but Man City TVs.

Someone keeps putting anti-vaccine books in my neighborhoods Little Library.

Someone else 👀 keeps taking them and putting them in the recycling bin.

The Titanic taking out the rich for 111 years. A true comrade.

A strange observation I get from walking my neighborhood each day.

Senior women almost always smile and say hi, often with an observation about the day.

Couples of all ages say good morning.

Younger men and women alone say hi maybe 60% of the time.

Senior men look at me with suspicion and often glare at me even if I say hello, they don't reply and continue just looking straight into my eyes.

This happens so often, I have really taken notice.

My Lyft drivers gas tank says 0 miles to empty and we’re sitting in terrible traffic. Let’s see how this goes!

danarel,

And we stopped for gas. Which is weird for a Lyft ride, right?

While I am very excited for the iOS Journal app, I am bummed to learn it doesn’t have a desktop version.

WWDC was... interesting? Sorta? I'm excited to try the desktop widgets on macOS, and it's nice that you can finally share AirTags and other Find My stuff with others. The rumors also made the Apple Watch changes sound more exciting, there's just a lot of small UI updates everywhere.

The new Macs look great, but I have absolutely no need for them. The Vision Pro is... a headset. It's more than twice as costly as my monthly rent so I don't really care right now.

danarel,

@corbin first. I’m jealous your rent is so low. That headset is my rent…

danarel, to random

Not enough people discussing porn on the new Vision Pro, I mean, it’s why 99% of you are really buying it.

danarel, to random

If  Vision Pro can make it look like I am awake during meetings, it's worth the money.

danarel, to random

 Vision Pro

Never make eye contact with your children again.

danarel, to random

$3,500!

I guess I can skip a months rent and then just use the Vision Pro's to project that I still have a home.

danarel, to random

Apple Vision Pro uses retina scan to unlock you say?

danarel, to random

Im waiting for the Apple Vision SE

danarel, to random

But the real question Mastodon users have is, will the Vision Pro Facetime persona support their fur-sonas?
