Developers took ~20 minute tours of Apple Park. The cafe served dinner at some point, but I didn’t notice.
The Apple Design Awards were held and we lined up to go to Steve Jobs Theater around 7pm to see the Vision Pro.
#SwiftData impressions after first try. Can‘t use structs, no change observation on model context possible (besides of @Query which only works on View) and random crashes. Under the hood NSManagedObject is used. I am underwhelmed - really hoped for something new… and not another Wrapper for the wrapper…
I hope that at least crashes get fixed and observation is added (AsyncSequence?) in the next Betas.
Anyone seen what file system format change happened for iOS 17? There‘d a note about some updating happening at startup that can have an effect with lots of apps? #wwdc#wwdc2023#ios#programming
