Yeah I already know about this. Also as a long time prime subscriber we have had ads longer than you’d expect. It first started as ads for Amazon products and also previews for other Amazon shows. It doesn’t surprise me that there are pause screen ads now like other streaming services.

Chicken Sausages are actually pretty gross but I like them anyway and I used to eat them all the time with noodles such that I would have some protein. Such that I didn’t feel like absolute trash after 15 minutes of consuming the noodles. Of course I don’t eat that much salt now and have genuinely lost a lot of weight over it now that I eat slightly healthier and eat slightly over the legal limit of salt usually a day here in America instead of 3 times over it.

Well time to replace my roku TV with a Goodwill special TV because fuck that shit. Fuck smart tvs in general and what they have become. They used to be neat little editions added on for value on your TV back when Netflix made sense. But now they don’t especially with the ads that automatically get shoved into your face depending on what you are doing that have started to interrupt your viewing experience. It’s not like I’ll be downgrading at all when just using a computer with a TV using Stremio and AllDebrid.

This is why I switched to K-9 Mail instead of using GMail because borderline Google was legitimately serving malware not just McAfee which isn’t malware. Since it allows me to have my Gmail and other email accounts in it all at the same time instead of a dedicated app filled with ads leading to real malware.

No no I only have the flatpak version of firefox installed yet in my taskbar it doesn’t use the pinned icon and on wayland it doesn’t have an icon at all.

I can’t personally run Kobo Desktop anymore on Linux because proprietary devs are so used to Windows. Running things for literal decades that; why update their software or maintain it for longer than the couple of years when it was released if even that?

Like Linux is inherently constantly evolving and changing without any regards to how software developers feel. When using libraries that will change and break shit even with flatpaks, app images and snaps if they don’t maintain their software.

So using this argument is completely missing the point entirely when so much shit is broken on Linux because of it. Despite said software being able to run up until they throw a library error at your ass.

Yes but most people aren’t doing this unless they are insane and finding these libraries is borderline impossible and I personally in my search have found a bunch of dead links for them. So no Linux isn’t backwards compatible to me and never will be backwards compatible because it fundamentally can’t be because even libc and it’s changes have broken stuff in the past with some Steam Linux native games I was trying to run.

This meme is just fundamentally wrong and Chinese propaganda.

I personally wouldn’t support a country that has harmed trans people by removing the ability to find and buy safe* hormone replacements. Let alone commit a literal Nazi Germany with it’s own Uyghur Muslim population which is a marginalized group of people in the country by making literal concentration camps for them and sometimes cutting off their balls so that they can’t reproduce.

Please stop running bloated websites with megabytes of dependencies on my chromebook or Walmart PC with a Intel Celeron that is 6 times slower yes I benchmarked them than my phone then maybe I would consider webp.

All in all though seriously; the only good thing about webp and the only way to get good performance out of it is to make your own site on something like Neo Cities from hand crafted html5, css and JavaScript and not load bloated dependencies.

Plus in general people would rather use png because it can be viewed on everything and some websites and services outright refuse to support webp so why not use png or jpg-xl?
