Exactly. The Mrs is down with covid so I’m spending 4 hours away from my desk in the middle of the day being daddy school bus. Leave before 6, home after 8, fridge and bank account are empty. Those were my last 3 hot dogs. Tonight will probably be PBJ and a couple hard boiled eggs.

ETA: pbj on those warm buns could have been pretty tasty. Opportunity missed?

No need to apologize my man. Fwiw I’m not the best cook. I have trouble chopping things that are round. If I have time, stews and soups are my zone. My wife likes cooking and is a good cook, so I’m a little spoiled. My 4 year old is in her picky eater phase so that doesn’t help.

Yes to KDE for windows users. There’s nothing wrong with cinnamon. But kde is much more impressive in a “wow! This is all free?” Sort of way. Just today I used both k3b and ktorrent!

I have the version of this controller with the Nintendo button layout. I like it, but steam refuses to see it as anything other than a standard x box controller. I’m sure I could solve that, but I’m lazy and it works well enough as it is.

It’s a direct p2p connection to a single user for downloads. It’s not swarm style like bittorrent. It’s also a great resource for really rare / out of print stuff.

I used it without a vpn for years and never got a single nastygram from my ISP. I think I started with a beta release back around 2000 because I used to be cool like that.

I have yt premium for the same reason. Toddlers have little patience for ads on their Kindle fire, and they get upset when they click one to buy a luxury watch and can’t figure out how to get back to cocomelon.

I actually like the service and feel it’s fairly priced. So I don’t mind paying for it. I stream yt music all day at work.

I’d rather see them secede and watch how quickly Texas and Florida get tired of having to carry the rest of the red states without federal money from blue states. We’d be fine or perhaps better of without them, but I don’t think the reverse is true.

Eh i removed mine too. I was being a bit tongue in cheek and you have a good point. I’m neurodivergent as well, and my dad suffered a traumatic brain injury when I was 7.

I like to think most people here are piece of shit shaming. Trump is a piece of shit who happens to be obese and pretends that he isn’t. Abbott is a piece of shit who happens to be in a wheelchair. I think people are grabbing the low hanging fruit.

I guess I’ve also learned over the years to be less sensitive. For example, I’m in recovery. I used to have a very serious problem with heroin, cocaine, etc. And I used to get very offended when people would joke about crackhead, junkies, etc. I’d correct them and try to make them feel bad. But now I realize that most people don’t have malice in their hearts. Just like most people know someone who is fat or queer, most people probably also know someone with a substance abuse problem. So I’ve learned to appreciate the humor and let it go. Crackheads do some silly shit after all, and I’m sure I was no different in those days.
