So I have a small scratch (1/2”?) on the front bumper of our 2020 Chevy Bolt we bought used (i.e. I don't have all the original paperwork, which would include the specific color it is). Two questions I'm having some trouble answering:

• how do I find the specific color to buy touch up paint?Googling is showing me stickers I'm not seeing on my driver's side door.

• best video for showing me how to repair this? I'm mainly interested in making this look reasonable but also just not get worse…

on the JVM, I had a bug where a FileInputStream wasn’t closed on an exceptional which didn’t matter with a small heap. But with a 96gb heap, the handle was never GCed and it led to a ulimit issue. Took two days to find this bug!

Drinking a toast to my dear departed friend Bruce Jeremiah.

Bruce taught me backgammon, to always wear condoms, to speak the truth, to duck if someone with a gun comes into a restaurant (he’s not here for you, you didn’t see anything), and other life lessons.

He was imperfect as we all are. But he gave me grounding. My only regret in our relationship was that he never came out to me. 😞
