The sun is out, the weather is crisp, the birds are singing, the fragrance of lilac is wafting through the air, and some asshole blows a stop sign and nearly runs me down. Apparently the proper action when approaching an intersection with heavy pedestrian traffic and facing into the sun is to speed up just before reaching the stop sign so you can come within inches of hitting the pedestrian in the crosswalk.

Definitely a need coffee day. I was talking with my manager, and decided to make a cup of coffee. I diligently turned on the heater for the espresso machine, cleaned the porta filter, dosed the coffee, tamped the coffee, put the filter into the machine, picked a cup off the cup warmer, placed the cup in the dishwasher, and walked away talking with my manager. 15 minutes later I ask my manager if I'd made a coffee and he laughs.

I have tried again successfully!

In other news i also drilled a o.125 inch hole 1.625 inces deep today on the motor i’ve been building. the hole from initial setup on the lathe to theblst retract of the drill bit only took 2.5 hours. really need a bigger lathe and new drill bits.
