@falcon Even if it didn't lead to doctor avoidance, which it does, it's such a high-stakes thing that is causes damage even if everything is completely inocuous.
@rose_alibi@MLE_online it seems like a place where the addition of some tech would be appropriate. The tech of course is the annoy-o-tron with a long life battery.
Anyway, sometimes my brain creates really sad scenarios, and I play out my reactions to these scenarios, and it makes me really upset, but it's like I'm trying to prepare myself for every possibility even though it's both impossible and destructive.
@RickiTarr I occasionally manage high-risk projects, and my tendency towards catastrophising is helpful since we can then prepare for the risks. It helps avoid that behavior in my daily life by developing a. awareness of when I’m doing it
so I can try to stop doing it.
