electric,

Love Rebuild. And don’t feel bad, take care of the catto.

electric,

In my experience, it’s usually the same length or alcoholic ones get almost a page long. Though I did go to one where the non-alcoholic options consisted solely of sodas, shame.

electric,

I’ve been in plenty where you could just order milk. 🤷

Though usually those are chain restaurants that prioritize breakfast, might be why.

electric,

An incredibly well-done graphic, very easy to understand and flows nicely. I wonder why Saudi Arabia has more use of white hearts specifically.

I created a board game alternative for evil people (lemmy.today)

Guys, I have something to brag about. After almost a year of hard learning, I finally created my first mobile game! Storiado is a board game alternative that will make you wonder what’s wrong with your friends. Play by answering simple questions, mix all the answers, and generate the most twisted story you’ve ever read. And...

electric,

Congrats! I’ll have to see who I can play this with, looks funny.

electric,

What in the fuck did I just read.

electric,

That’s not a medical condition. What are you smoking?

electric,

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks about shooting at loud cars and bikers. I genuinely would if I could.

electric,

I LOVE SPREADING MISINFORMATION!!!

electric,

The YouTube recommendation algorithm works in wonderful ways.

electric,

To be pedantic, as Mr. PoopyButtHole mentioned, that’s peanuts for a district. For a school itself it’d make a difference but it’d probably be wasted as well, either going towards admin or some other useless expense. If you intend to donate to a school, always make stipulations on how it can be spent or they WILL misuse it.

electric,

Interesting. I welcome any change that drives it away from being purely for Apple apps. Funny and creative use of the slider element for the iOS version.

electric,

Adorable. Love that it’s hand-drawn.

If I sign up on a hot air balloon ride and there is bad weather can I get my money back?

Each of the companies that we have talked to for Hot air balloon rides have said you pay for it in advance, then if there is bad weather, you don’t get your money back. You just have to reschedule for another day. We have a friend who had to make many many many trips an hour and a half each way and each time on the way there,...

electric,

That still doesn’t make any fairer. OP expects a service for their money. If there happens to be bad weather, it’s not right for the company “sorry, too windy, come again another time with more money”.

Also don’t gatekeep balloon rides, it’s not like you’re renting a private jet.

electric,

That’s interesting, glad you brought extra context. Wouldn’t a better option be to factor the losses from bad weather into the price instead?

electric,

He doesn’t have to pay for another flight? Thought it was like water parks where your money just goes into the ether if it rains.

electric,

Oh wow, I missed that sentence. Makes sense now, nevermind!

electric,

Oh absolutely, still in agreement with you. I just thought they were outright stealing your money. Time is still valuable. I don’t think a balloon ride might be a guarantee though, just the nature of it. Hope you guys find a way!

electric,

Mmm, decentralized flavor. Mild fecal aftertaste with a hint of gay.

electric,

Oh, that’s unfortunate. Might be because I had to edit the post to append the URL after the fact. For some reason I am unable to upload images.

electric,

Yeah I thought that might be why. I only read the FAQ after uploading the image, should have done my due diligence. Sucks so many countries and ISPs block a nice site.

electric,

It’s what fascinates me too. Star Trek’s best episodes are just people talking. Give me them juicy ethical dilemmas and tense negotiations.

electric,

Pretty much. Star Trek is a great way to frame issues because it also involves the most capable humans (most of the time!) at a time where humanity exists in a utopia. So you basically have peak humans put in these interesting situations with great writing and acting! Stories are still relatable decades after.
