I rarely trust anything anyone else says about me so I doubt it’s appropriate to ask anyone to trust anything I say about me. If I’m even real. Perhaps I am the sum of my actions and written thoughts; you can read the latter here, but it’s up to you to judge whether itʼs of interest.

(But I’m likely to post about electronic musical technology, and amongst other things, more politics than I’d like, autism, disability, trans issues, and things little and large in the Hebrides, with pictures.)

US State Dept updated advisory: Reconsider travel to "due to the arbitrary enforcement of local laws, including in relation to exit bans, and the risk of wrongful detentions." https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/china-travel-advisory.html

They didn’t mention forced sterilisations of non-citizens...?

I don't live in Scotland, though I am a descendant of Scottish emigrants. My question, though, is this: Is it only members of mastodon.scot who will see my posts?

@tailkinker
As I understand it, your posts will be visible to other server members under “Local” (which is too much for ordinary mortals to read on medium to large servers) and to everywhere else under “Federated” (which requires a degree in omniscience to read), and to anyone who follows you under “Home” or on a self-created List. But don’t take my word for it.

I can barely contain myself...

Maciej and the wizards at http://analogia.pl/ are doing the final testing on a CS-30 just for me! It's been fully serviced and upgraded with the @lalalansynth MIDI kit. 🥳

Soon it will be in my studio ready for 45 MORE YEARS of music making!! 🎶

The extra routing and lfo/fm/ring mod options on the CS30 place it in a different class to the CS-15 imo.

But if you’re looking for one, the CS-30l is probably best of both worlds, given that the sequencer is the least useful part of the -30 (at least if you have either an external CV+STrig sequencer or this MIDI mod), and even at today’s prices the -30l is generally cheaper.

When you try them next to each other ... or wired into each other for 4osc+2LFO+etc. 🤩 ... you find that the CS-15 is an intrinsically lovely subset of the CS-30 sounds, though.

I frankly don’t know what I did with the CS-30 last month; the sound was like nothing I’ve ever heard from anything for about two minutes ... then something popped inside so it’s on the repair pile for now. Maybe one day I’ll get there again ... or somewhere else as unexpected.

Anna Log Du Alto sounds like a very distinguished and serious electronic musician and I hope to listen to her piece Rigger Delay, without delay.
