Here is a musical #ThrowbackThursday

I found this track among dozens of tracks I made from the early 90s. It doesn't have a name so I can't find the DAW work file easily. This was digitized off a four-track. I used hardware synths but I don't recall which ones. (Is there a way to find out the synth model from sysex dump?)

The question is should I try to recover these lost tracks I made and clean up and record them digitally and release them?

@limebar @MusicProduction I bought a package from iZotope a year ago which includes the standard version of RX. It's surprisingly good. If 'twere me, I'd start there.

I'd offer to do this for you, but the reality is that you need to have the ability to run multiple passes, listen in context, tweak as you go.

    @flockofnazguls @baymud I also had major audio and MIDI issues due to a cheap three metre USB extension cable. Nothing of importance was plugged into the powered bus on the end of the cable, but it affected everything else connected to the Mac Mini. Replacing that extension cable with one of the right quality resolved all my issues.
