chrome update wtf, if you're not running with "use system titlebar" enabled, the minimize, maximize/restore, and close buttons vanish when you maximize the window. Between this and moving the tab finder button back and forth, my faith in disabling auto-updates has been renewed, yet again.
And the default setups like task manager here are just as biffed as the gnome ones. Apparently we all use only two applications and never more than one window per each. At least the clock is somewhere I can find it now, and I can right-click to change things.
🙄 now you need to download a different task switcher. I guess it would be weird if you upgraded some software and everything worked as well as it used to.
task manager settings... "tooltips" are short textual things, not a jumbo thumbnail of each of 30 windows -- why would you pop that up on hover? And why would you hide all of the other windows as I mouse across one??? At least I got that "feature" turned off now. 🙄
imagine running over turtles and leaving a trail of plastic particles while consuming enough energy to heat or cool a house and telling yourself you're doing the environment a favor by driving an electric car 😒
what about instead of ctrl+shift+u, guess a number and hit enter, be wrong, backspace, [try a couple more], ctrl+n new window and search for "unicode elipsis", you could just hit ctrl+shift+u or something and type ellipsis and get a list of matching ones?
I think I need a scythe but I don't want to sharpen it. Titanium? Really what I want is a mini harvester or something, cut the grass at any number of height between 3 and 12in... I don't care if it's manual or electric as long as the battery is lithium. Folds for storage would be good. The electric motor I have has expired lead battery, dull blade, weighs too much even without the battery, gets used maybe 4x/year my other mower is a reel push mower or a hedge clipper, trimmer… #electricSheep
