Tonight is radio programming night.

I'm equipping multiple families in my network/neighborhood with Baofengs, and some with T-Decks.

Tonight I'm programming them and printing + laminating my 2-page "uh oh" user guide.

Baofengs (or any common radio equipment) are NOT secure communication, but useful nonetheless.

Meshtastic devices are more secure (have encryption), but offer much less range. IMO, this is actually advantageous.

Help your neighbors. Make allies. Don't put it off.

Hi, I’m your average city-dweller, totally disconnected from nature and animal husbandry.

Today I heard that a politician shot her dog and goat and I’m very upset about it.

I’ve never raised an animal of any kind (except my cat, Stockholm), and the only time I’ve been around any animals other than my cat is when I go to the city zoo and when I see emotional support dogs at CostCo.

But culling animals is always wrong and immoral, even if they present a danger to other people.

My posts pointing out the intellectual inconsistencies with Constitutional Conservatism have always been my least popular type of post.

Sorry not sorry, because only con-cons have any hope of seeing through propaganda of the State. It's not even worth talking to Liberals; they love the State. Conservatives are the only people who can be reasoned with, but almost all of them are willing to die on Constitution Hill, despite their present circumstance.

Thanks to Alley Cat who designed the case and published it gratis online.

It takes about 30m to desolder some things and solder others, so I’m just doing one a day to keep my sanity. I have 3 more to do and I’ll be finished with the T-deck handhelds. Two are for family, one is ours, and the fourth will be my diagnostic device.

Still waiting on the dipole whip antennas from Digikey.

I have two T-beams with the SX chips that will be the fixed location repeaters. I’ll print a case for them next.
