    What is the gameplay purpose of all the non-functional detritus items in Bethesda games? e.g. pens, syringes, desk tidies

    You could change them to not have names on hover, or not be storable in the inventory. They don't really sell for enough to be useful to players.

    @_benui part of it is the “immersion” that impressed gamers all the way back to Shenmue (“you can look in every drawer!!”) and partly because it’s just very easy to do in the engine they use to make their games. it’s tradition at this point.

    My new strategy against the Azorius and Esper decks, which are played a lot currently, is pretty simple. If they don't want me to play, I just don't play. Most off them get angry by turn 5 and rope me until they lose. Horrible matches, but it's what these players deserve 😘

    here is a goofy Vampire-Angel Tribal deck I built for based on Drana and Linvala. it is called “Goth Girls Kissing” for obvious reasons, and was thrown together with very little thought based on cards i already own. that being said, it’s really fun and at about a 50% winrate so far!!

    i love mastodon. it really feels like the future as envisioned in the y2k era, before we saw how rancid the internet could really get. people are eager to communicate and collaborate and share their interest and hear others. we’re here because we get something out of it, not to chase clout or make numbers go up. this is frankly embarrassing to admit but the whole thing gives me a little hope.

    @MTG3K @falkowata i do get a lot of inherent fun out of the "which card do i pick next!!" part of drafting, tickles my brain in the right ways. but it's definitely not for everyone. it's usually only near the end of a season I think "hey if I grind out a bunch of constructed I could hit mythic!" and then do not hit mythic, lol

    Just out of curiosity... what's your main deck that you're using to play Standard format during MoM:A?

    I'm still playing some sort of white midrange control deck. It works surprisingly well against some meta relevant decks (surprisingly, it rarely loses against Selesnya Enchantment) and loses badly against others (Soldiers are tough right now). The win rate is okay enough to still stick with the deck and use wildcards on other ones, but it could still need an overhaul.

    @To been Esper Legends since sometime around DMU, and post-fable ban it still feels like the best deck. Rona sometimes feels like having more copies of Raffine.
