“Fluent Python” is an excellent example of a “good programming language book” — it’s not cluttered with “enterprise examples” it’s focused on how python works and goes into detail on edge cases. This lets one write code with real confidence that you know everything it’s doing. It is also written with the aim to justify why python is the way that it is. Which I need or I get irritated.

If you like python you should probably have a pdf or buy a copy.

Now which book on Java is analogous?

I hope you don't mind me hopping i to the chain to ask, but do you have any recommended resources for learning kotlin? The tutorials I have been using on the android studio website seem to oscillate widely between being very handholding to leaving me lost, and I would like to find other resources.

This might be a dumb question, but I was told that all PS4 games need to be installed to the hard drive before you can play them.
I’m going through a bunch of games right now and that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Well, not the full disc at least. There seem to be some that just install a key of sorts to the drive. Something that’s not even a Megabyte big.

Can anyone explain this to me?
I forgot how it worked after so many years… 😳

While the disc is the majority of the playable data, every game needs an install record, mostly to serve as a patch or dlc repository. So for games that never see an update, all you get is that tiny record.
