eya,

If nobody has guns nobody needs guns, pretty simple

eya,

Wondering if I can turn that off somehow

have you heard of our lord and savior linux

A RULE SPY'S IN THE BASE?! (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I searched up “Lemmy” on the PlayStore and noticed that Reddit appears right before the last lemmy client in that search X3 do u guys know if there r any other lemmy clients worth trying? I randomly felt like trying all I could find and for now I’ll stay on Jerboa and the Web UI but I use Voyager too now, mainly for DMs...

eya, (edited )

why do people use boost? heard it has ads in it. not to mention it collects and shares data. it baffles me why anyone would use it over something like voyager. (also its a proprietary app for a FOSS project)

eya,

people have read receipts on in 2024?

eya,

“bug” aka purposely making firefox unusable on one of the largest websites in the world so more people use chromium

(these allegations are based solely on prejudice against google and its subsidiaries, and do not necessarily hold true in reality)

eya,

If you need to block your local instance admin then you probably shouldn’t be using that instance…

eya,

You can also make it so you don’t see any bot accounts at all, makes the experience 10x better.

eya,

alternatively we could get rid of car dependency

eya,

classic “protecting the children” to do something terrible excuse

eya,

Because people in this community already know not to use Google Chrome and Microsoft.

eya,

Just use uBlock Origin.

eya,

For the comments, can anyone give me an actual reason to use Brave over Firefox (and it’s forks)? I guess the cryptocurrency aspect is a reason, but I wouldn’t say it’s a very good one.

voxel, (edited ) to BraveBrowser

Warning to all Brave Browser Users

Blocking variations.brave.com which is used for A/B testing could potentially break Brave's functionalities. For me did Brave's "forgetful browsing" feature broke which seems to be disabled by default if you block this domain.

@privacy @privacyguides

eya,

Brave is an ad company. Use a privacy-centric browser like hardened firefox, librewolf, or ungoogled chromium.

Edit: added a comma

eya,

You really just shouldn’t use brave…
