holy moly, we have 965 wishlists for Grey Area so far,, to put that into perspective, my previous game I released on steam, pizza time explosion, had 19 wishlists before release. 19!! this game is set to do just. degrees of magnitude better than that game did, which is both exciting and a little bit scary!! but I think mostly exciting :)

as a kid (and as a teenager), my absolute favorite games were just anything with a level editor or other creative tools

the earliest level editor I ever played with was when I was about 8 or 9, in the game Speedy Eggbert

I also had hot wheels stunt track driver 1 and 2 back then, both with level editors I played a ton

when I was older, my most played games became trackmania, roblox, spore, and super mario bros x

and of course, from about the age of ten onward, I spent a lot of time just playing with game maker as well, ehehe

was anyone else like that? just enraptured with level editors as a kid?

I never understand why some people are so taken aback by the idea that some people are uninterested in sex or relationships, like maybe its just cause I'm ace myself, but I cannot understand what's so unfathomable about that to some people

I never went to college, I've never had a job, I'm making a video game with three other people who also never went to college, only one of whom has a job (at mcdonald's), all of us self taught in all of our trades (programming, art, music, etc), $100 worth of funding into the whole project, and god damn have we put our all into this project, I'm so happy with it

I don't know if it will go anywhere or be a success or whatever but we sure as hell get to be proud of this project, we made it despite everything, we added something new to this world

when I see examples on the California DMV bot of people writing inappropriate things and trying to pass them off as innocent, I can only think of a thing I saw years ago on the Nintendo Life forums

I don't remember how the topic came up, but this user called WiiDSmoker came under scrutiny for having a username against the rules (as in, it's clearly a drug reference, it clearly looks like 'weed smoker'), and they said no, it's just my three favorite things, the Wii, the Nintendo DS, and the band Moker

my laptop has become extremely unstable and is deteriorating fast, it's possible I'll be able to fix it but it's an incredibly invasive and difficult disassembly so there's no guarantee, and either way I desperately need a new computer, because it's how I do like. literally everything, art, gamedev, streaming, etc., every way for me to make money

currently, all of my money is going into my current living situation, so I've been unable to save much in awhile, so I simply do not have funds for a new computer

I want to replace it with a desktop, both so it's easier to repair in the future than this thing has been, and to get something more powerful. the laptop is a gaming laptop, but it's 8 years old, so pretty much anything on the market now is going to be better

but in any case I just don't have the funds for this at all rn, so if anyone can spare anything for this, I am extremely appreciative!
