@Radical_EgoCom@xs4me2@TheBestLeiya@rbreich You cannot not participate in an election. Unfortunately due to the way most voting systems work, the vote results have mostly that effect. Not voting is a level of thoughtless passive behaviour that I can barely tolerate. Also the excuses for not voting are usually even more dumb and baffling that you would imagine in good faith. It gets only worse when the same people keep complaining how dumb politicians and voters(!) are.

@AAMfP@k9mail@thunderbird Interesting offer by #posteo. Just tried in #firefox on my #debian pc and it failed with "Action not permitted" when trying to download the files (I guess). I would also much prefer to upload my own CSR that I generated outside of the browser. BTW, in Germany #ausweisapp enables you to sign your PGP/GPG key by an official authority for free. OpenKeychain works nicely in #fairemail. #kudos to #dhl for using #smime to sign their mails.
@AAMfP Logged in via my smartphone and a webview-based browser and saw that I can now reissue the #smime certificate in the #posteo webinterface for free. Great! Re-downloading the files failed again because the browser seems to have trouble with #blobs. Then logged in via Firefox on my smartphone but there is no option to reissue — at this time at least. I'm probably clumsy and impatient but it still feels like a #shitshow.

As others have already mentioned: it's easier for everyone if someone has already taken the initiative and provided some base you can work with even if it's mostly wrong. It's about shyness and self-esteem. People love to help because it makes them feel good.

@forteller I was also surprised they never said about the digits 3 and 7. If 37 is really that prominent I would guess a lot of subconscious ideas about these two digits play into picking these seemingly arbitrarily. Then again the video almost felt like a social/media experiment to see whether it's possible to start a myth with a YouTube video.
