Current limitations of iOS emulation rather stark when mucking around with PPSSPP, which with an iPhone 15 Pro Max is giving me less clout than my Retroid Pocket 3+. Still: early days.

@craiggrannell make sure you have the jit enabled, when you do, it flies

gbevin,
@gbevin@uwyn.net avatar

@craiggrannell you can enable the jit on iOS manually when it's not distributed through the App Store, I use it like that all the time, it works great

After 2 years of weekly meetings with the MPE working group, many discussions, heated debates, over 60 revisions, ... the MIDI 2.0 Profile for MPE is finally available for download from the new MIDI Association website!

@stevenray it can be rolled out via firmware updates if manufacturers want to support it

Test printing the last sizes: 16hp, 18hp, 20hp and then I think I'm ready to release the first version of #RackBlox.

Now featuring a drink koozie as well as a drink holder.

The double wall with a sealed air gap between makes for an excellent insulator and keeps your next drink cold, while you're enjoying the current one 😁

@ocramz currently only looking at flying bus cables since the back can we removed for easy access, bioplastics make this much less of a plasticky concern, that's all I use to print with

@johnefrancis I agree, that's not as smooth as we wanted it to be 😞

gbevin,
@gbevin@uwyn.net avatar

@johnefrancis it really not supposed to be, it's designed to be an experience and celebration, but we can't just link to audio and video without using existing platforms.

Orca Slicer is becoming a great contender as the best slicer for me, starting to replace Simplify3D with it. https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer #3Dprinting #3dprint #slicer

@phranck got a P1P coming in on Wednesday, using it with my Ankermake M5 now, and my Prusas

gbevin,
@gbevin@uwyn.net avatar

@phranck it's good, still rough around the edges but definitely a huge step up from Prusa. I'm curious to see how it compares to the P1P.

gbevin,
@gbevin@uwyn.net avatar

@phranck I've had two Raise3D E2 printers and two Prusas for years, the Raise3D ones set the bar very high, I can rely on them to print and sell products. Prusa always fails at random things at random times, the M5 so far sits in the middle but is getting better and better with firmware updates.

@phranck yeah I got them to print faceshields and masks during covid when there was a shortage, we donated thousands of 3D printed faceshields and masks to local communities in North Carolina

@gbevin@uwyn.net avatar

@phranck I'm glad we were able to make a difference and save lives, and that I got to step up my 3D design and printing skills at the same time

    One of the disadvantages of being a solo entrepreneur in software: after 6 hours of emails and unplanned customer support, I can finally start to code.

    So, I signed up for the Apple+ free trial to watch Jays/Yankees and see if Apple gets better video quality. And… quality is excellent, except a bit hyper detailed like I leaned too hard on Clarity in a Lightroom edit. Hmm.

    Anyhow, not gonna start paying for the sake of one ballgame a week. What else is on Apple+ that makes it worth $9/month?
