stop turning of all power strips "to save power"

depending on the device it uses more power and reduces their life time considerably.

example: GaN charger

50 year life time continous usage
7500 power cycles.
if u turn it off and on once per day it is only 20 years.

@sim meeting went well. have some guidance on how to proceed. (and negative things a prof mentioned about some other students seems to be well justified. but it is always hard when u meet someone new and they slander someone unknown. from my POV the prof or the student might be difficult. or both. seems like it was the student.
