Having talked about this same questiom with a family member who was in the field of nuclear engineering, what he told me basically boiled down to this:
It is fairly accurate, but not actually as detailed as it seems. There are several major obstacles that variously will stump you, get you killed, and/or put you on the radar of a national security apparatus.
But yeah, although not exactly “easy,” the basics apparently aren’t that complicated to work out if you know the science.
U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley acknowledged that she failed to allow David DePape to address the court before sentencing him to 30 years in prison last week.
U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley, a Joe Biden appointee, sentenced DePape to 30 years in prison last Friday for the attack, but she admitted she failed to allow DePape to address the court before his sentencing, necessitating a re-do of the sentencing, due to happen on May 28.
I always make car dealers take their own sticker or badge off of any vehicle I buy. I usually offer to keep the advertising in place, in exchange for a discount, but they never take me up on it.
While the Sky voice and a version of ChatGPT Voice have been around for some time, the comparison to Johansson became more obvious due to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and many others, drawing the similarity between the new AI model and the movie “Her”.
When your CEO inadvertently helps build a copyright suit against your product… Not a good look.
Micah is … well he’s definitely not trained as a journalist. Seems like a nice guy, though, and he is enthusiastic about EVs of all sorts, so I cut him some slack.
The fact that they feel the need to advertise this means they know they fucked up. And, IMO, they did.
I’m a pretty diehard fan but I gave up trying to watch everything. My spouse doesn’t want to watch The Marvels because we haven’t seen all of Ms. Marvel. I forget where Daredevil even left off. I feel like I would need to read a plot synopsis to even follow what is going on. Its a bit of a mess.
What’s worse is that we really liked the first episode but there’s just very little time for TV in our lives. We can carve out enough time for a movie occasionally, but a whole series just won’t get watched for like another year (unless it is more Loki.)
Today, a bunch of people on my Mastodon feed are making declarations about somebody apparently flying a flag upside down, and this apparently has something to do with the New York Times being terrible....
Big “Do you know who I am? Just wait til my lawyer gets here.” energy.
I know zero about the guy, and police may well have been doing their typical power-tripping bullshit, but for a white guy in Kentucky to catch a charge like this, he was without-a-doubt acting like a smug, entitled jackass.
It’s absurd, but under law in England and Wales, it isnt “rape” unless it is P-in-V. Hence the Guardian’s use of what would seem like a euphemism. It’s only “rape” if it is a male who is the perpetrator.
I dont really get this one. I thought they were referencing the film “Sideways”, but upon checking, that came out in 2004. Maybe just the fact that the subsequent wine craze peaked around then?
