closeup of the mnt standalone keyboard in a dark room with purple lighting. the keys have a white backlight which gives a cyber vibe. :3 most keys show only one letter this time (instead of 2-4 last time) only the number row and some special characters on the right have 2 visible letters. however, there are more letters and characters lasered on the bottom of every main key. (ca. 70% of the keys) since the backlight is located at the top of the rows, these bottom lasered characters are barely visible. it's super cool because i can see them if i want to, but they don't get in the way when i'm typing.

so yesterday i started right at the beginning -- with "birth" -- and played it in one go. such a beautiful, wholesome, weird, morbid and cute hidden object/puzzle game 🥰

(ps: this game was made by 1 (!) person 😱 (madison karrh))

a laundry with 2 characters on a bench at the window (they look like people, but their heads are bird skulls. there are some washing machines, a portrait of someone on the wall, a window with a view of the city, 3 clothing items handing.
in the menu, there are two tabs: teeth and organs. in the teeth tab, one can see bones. the goal of the game is to collect 8 bones and 8 organs (to form a body). :D i have collected one tooth, a spine and 2 bones that look like they might belong to arms or legs.
an overview of a part of the town. it looks quite picturesque. there are two apartments visible on the first floor. on the ground level, there's an apothecary and a pub. there's a person sitting in front of the pub holding a note. there are some balloons outside the window and 2 people with a birthday cake inside. there are also people visible in the apartments.

ok so since i was such a fan of "birth" i really wanted to play the predecessor "landlord of the woods". i played it in one go, again. it's not optimized for steam deck and it's not as polished as its successor, but it was funny & cute and worth playing. really looking forward to more games by madison karrh 🥰

this is so much fun! for some reason, i sometimes think of bioshock. i guess the sound design is a bit similar? and the 1950's imagery, of course. one of the very few 3d games that doesn't give me motion sickness 🥲💜
