Got home to find microwave clock reset, messaged him and he said “oh yeah I had to turn all power off but not for long” and I said he should have mentioned that so I could have had computers powered off…
Thankfully had ups running for the servers so they were okay but I ended up with a dead pi memory card (always the way)
@redvers Aw man! Maybe that’d fly back in the 90’s when we were still turning our computers off at night :-P
That reminds me of a series of 2a downtimes at a customer’s site. They can’t figure out what was going on. Local IT finally camps out in the server room. 2a. Housekeeping strolls in… They had been unplugging the DB to plug in their vacuum, nightly.
I guess folks don’t know what they don’t know, eh? Ha
Interestingly, after checking out bluesky a bit, I’ve noticed a lot of “why Mastodon is better than twitter” links over here, and almost no “why bluesky is better than twitter” links over there.

I had the opportunity to work with the awesome folks at Royal Children’s Hospital, and later the whole Precinct. And the in-house coffee was fantastic, especially after a go-live.
I’ve heard from some, but disagree that air in the #midwest#illinois#country is cleaner. Due to the #farming crop spray chemicals moving through the air, my nose is on fire after going outside this morning.
It’s ok, this will pass. Then comes the burning of leaves, daily, by the local government and some surrounding people.

That looks nice. I notice the capacitor and I wonder if that is for power smoothing/stability and what your circuit is. I've been having issues with one of my esp8266 boards with wled and I think it is a power issue.

It sounds like #bluesky is more fun. And Mastodon is definitely more engaging than Nostr right now.
