This is a big deal. Arduino has accepted 32 million in VC money and the new “Pro” boards are not open source,so they won’t be as easily cloned, and code and libraries in the ide could be unavailable to see or modify!...

Just put together an ebike with a parts kit from california-ebike.com. I got their 17 AH battery which came with a fairly generic charger. It's all working as advertised....

I do a lot of "Arduino" embedded projects that require a small display for operation. I use small LCDs (16 x 2 to 20 x 4) for this, character or graphical, as they're rugged, easy to drive, and above all, SMALL. Under 1.5" x 4"....

I bought a Bafang mid-drive motor kit from california-ebikes, I chose a 750W BBSHD, 44t chainring, 17 AH battery. My goal is a moderate range comfortable cruiser, not speed, etc....
