i was originally looking at kbin but after trying it, it just feels klunky and it's missing a lot of features
also self hosting kbin looks like a lot of work

I heard some bad stuff about lemmy's community but it shouldn't be that hard to defederate any bad servers

the platform is definitely way more mature but it's probably best that I use kbin out of principle

I got my hrt prescription filled for another 90 days and I should be in with a specialist by then who can take it from there

my gp isn't all that comfortable with prescribing it because he isn't all that familiar with any of it, but he doesn't want me to have to go off of it. he's been a big help :blobfox:
