274 What therapeutic practices help you get into the right headspace for writing?

A good sleep night is perhaps the best thing I can have to easily enter the zone. My Feline Overlord's mission is to impede me to have that good sleep night…=)

And music. I can't do anything without music. Certain songs put me in the zone by "sending" me to specific times and places, and then I can write…=)

04 Do you feature real-world political and social issues in your work?

Yes. Sometimes as past events, sometimes as things the characters must deal with in the present. Sometimes a little hidden, and sometimes in plain sight, with just a few letters changed to protect the innocent/indecent…=)

—I used to believe the point of MY life was to be god's punching bag. Now, knowing her (yes, HER) I can say I'm the Universe's punching bag, not hers. Now, my parents weren't great believers. Theirs was more of a tradition than true faith. They never took us to church, for instance. That would be their influence on me…

02 What books/resources have you used to improve your writing? Which ones do you recommend?

My favorite resource is TV Tropes, that wonderful piece of hell, waiting to traps us into its never ending sea of tropes, cliches, etc., that sooner that we realize, have become ideas in our minds…=)

In second place would be Advice to Writers, full of quotes, supposed quotes, and tips in general. It's a fun place, too…=)

268 — Would you ever include a scene in your writing that violated the rules of your universe if the reader would never find out?

In this WiP there's only one rule: You can't move though your universe/reality timeline and if you "do it" you end up in another universe/reality timeline. You could return if you're unlucky enough, and your reward would be instant death.

But I certainly could write a scene like that, since there's a universal loophole in that rule…=)

29 What sort of MC would you never write?

An extremely religious person. Those that go to the church every day, that are always praying, etc. As an SC, NPC or Dear Villain, sure. I've done that. But not as an MC. My religion forbids that kind of characters. With (some of) my family and neighbors I have more than enough of such horrors…=)

29 What are your grammar rules to live by and grammar rules to break?

Besides the Holy Oxford Comma, I live by all the rules when I'm narrating. Except when I don't. And since I write mostly in Spanish, where there are like a bazillon rules, you can imagine my suffering…=)

Now, with exception of the Holy Oxford Comma, when the characters talk, all the bazillon rules can and do go to hell. And technically, I'm not the one breaking those rules. The characters do…>=)

—I like spring or the beginning of summer. I just like that time of the year. Seasons are now just a meaningless concept thanks to whatever started both the global warming, then the new ice age, and with the Weather Regulation system, we live in an almost perpetual summer. If you want a cold winter, you either go to the polar circle, or buy an industrial grade AC.

The idea was brilliant. Disguise the entrance to the missile silo/bunker as a tepee. A 100% inconspicuous tepee in the middle of nowhere. I have upset many of my readers, I'm afraid. None of my characters is particularly safe from death, and I have killed off some of my favourites - so long as it works for the plot.

I have regretted some of the angry death threats I have got. Didn't regret killing the character, though.

02 How would your characters attempt to catch a leprechaun?

Leprechauns exist in my story, and they're a really tricky kind of people.

The Team would try to ambush our Leprechaun, and, at the right moment, they'd invoke the Lightning, a the same time, to TRY to stun him (Leprechauns here are tough as hell).

After their failure, they'd go to the nearest bar, where they'd drown their defeat in alcohol, and possibly invite the Leprechaun to join them…=)
