I know it’s not PROPER ICQ because you’ve not been able to log in with your number for years, but I am a little sad it’s going.

I met my wife on ICQ via the “random user ID” button and now I have two kids.

I've talked about Indianapolis' scuzz-punk kings BINGO BOYS before, but today I want to highlight their 2021 record 'More'. These songs are ALL bangers, as usual (fun fact about Bingo Boys, they don't even know how to write bad songs that aren't infectiously catchy).

I hope to someday be able to write a song that is as damn good as 'Glow' or 'Spidersac' here -- these tunes SMOKE. 🔥

@wendigo I've been fascinated by werewolves for so many years- probably my favorite of the monsters. So many great flicks, too. The original and then of course in Paris, and even Cursed which was kinda weird 😂 Underworld series was badass, I even watched the new TV series with Sarah Michelle Gellar (I don't recommend that one). 😂🤣😂

May is almost over, but this month is 'Month of LibreOffice' (see https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2024/05/01/do-something-awesome-join-the-month-of-libreoffice-may-2024).

I recently went back to using @libreoffice again (I used to use OpenOffice) instead of Microsoft Office, because now Microsoft wants to start charging monthly for Word, Excel, etc.

I don't know why I ever stopped using it (Having Microsoft Office already installed on a new laptop?) but LibreOffice is SO great, I never should have stopped. I love the ease of it, .odt files that work wherever -- the whole thing is superior to Microsoft products.

@shansterable @libreoffice heck yeah!! Exactly, I had OpenOffice on my Windows 2000 machine and when I got a newer laptop I guess I just stayed with the defaults. But not if they're gonna try to charge me every month, and I'm far from a Microsoft fanboy. Libre it is!

@ookla13 ah yeah - it IS good for resumes. I actually loathe OneDrive, I've never even used it haha. I always turn it off, its syncing is a MESS. But I know wifey uses it at work.

@ookla13 one of the problems with always-online software or services. Too much control haha. It still baffles me they can just start charging for something that's just supposed to be on my computer. And I suspect that's the fault of OneDrive with its incessant desire to update etc hahaha

Was watching Everybody Loves Raymond and noticed the peanut butter was in the refrigerator door. I’m sure this was just a props department thing and it probably wouldn’t have been noticeable on an old TV but curious, does anyone refrigerate their peanut butter?
