Just finished checking out the new Shellac a day early. It's pretty wild (because of course it is). It's not lost on me that the final song is "I Don't Fear Hell", which is a pretty fuckin badass way to go out. If there is a Hell, I would hope the late Steve Albini isn't there now. And I figure if there is one, he's probably not.

@birv2 oh wow no- been using Libre recently and I do use Drive (unfortunately haha) also (I'd switch to Proton if it had in-browser editing!) - but I haven't tried connecting the two. Did you? Is it weird? hahaha

@brandonwrites awesome. Yeah, I have some newer ones on the way too- I love any and all but it's cool to have a few older ones, I just have a couple. Some Savage Swords, I try to just grab when I find them cheap, sometimes they're WAY overpriced haha

photo box update: yeah, this didn't work quite as hoped. At over 2.5kg, this thing has a will of its own, and enough weight to pull the bearing hinge assemblies apart and turn the whole thing into an uncooperative plastic octopus.

I think with anchors that slide over the hinges at full extension, and a careful order of operations, this can still be assembled; more likely I will need to swap the hinges for static brackets, and find another method for breakdown and storage.

@jake4480 So I was reading through your Animated TV Blog today. I was curious how you felt about the Hulu Futurama episodes? I just started watching Futurama maybe 2 years ago. Got up to the Comedy Central episodes and slowed down a bit. I watched the first episode of the Hulu show and wasn’t super impressed. Did it find its groove?

@brandonwrites ha! Well that is really cool - thanks for reading! Futurama is a bit like pizza or sex for me.. 😂 you probably saw my list of favorite Futurama episodes, and none of the new ones are on it but there is definitely good stuff in there. Some of the movies, I'm not into. The Nudar ones, for example. The first revival. But I dig Benders Game. I do think there's great stuff (and some NOT so great stuff) in ALL the seasons. There's even season 1 episodes I don't like much. I'm so psyched for new ones in July. Have you seen Disenchantment? Obsessed with that one 😂 my only draft over there right now is another Disenchantment one 😂🤣😂🤣

@brandonwrites awesome. Well it's just nice to meet another animation fan haha. King of the Hill is awesome. I've definitely seen all of those but it's been a while. Disenchantment is amazing, and you're in for a treat when you do now that all 5 parts are out haha. It's a masterpiece of animation. Just.. sure, I adore Simpsons/Futurama, but I feel like Disenchantment is Matt Groening's masterwork. People think I'm nuts when I say that. hahaha

Happy 23rd anniversary to Weezer's green album, released today (May 15) in 2001. Man, did I listen to this album a lot, and I still can. Might be my favorite Weezer record but I hate the last song - luckily it's last and I can just turn it off when it comes on. 😂

I remember following along online as they were making it, they were posting updates. Some great unreleased/b-side stuff from this era, too.
