jiberish,

I was the same. I also avoided any Kpackage because of kdependencies it would install along with it.

I was shocked when my Linux Guru recommended KDE whenever it was that Plasma got really good. I reluctantly tried it and I was hooked. I was in love with the infinitely user configurable UI. I felt like I could easily bend the interface to do what I wanted. It’s been many years now and it’s hard for me to use anything but KDE. I even tried to give Plasma Mobile a go on my Pine Phone.

jiberish,

I wonder if this is why Teenage Engineering’s K.O.2 looks like a calculator? teenage.engineering/products/ep-133

jiberish,

In some countries Christmas is a national holiday. It’s simply the name of a holiday that affects everyone in my country (USandA). Because of that, it’s both a secular and religious holiday. So do what you want with that. Celebrate by worship, by spending money, by seeing family, or do nothing and enjoy the quietest day of the year (in my city, at least).

And not to mention that Christmas isn’t even a real holiday; the Christians just co-opted and modified all the solstice holidays of every culture they conquered. The only “reason for the season” is to indoctrinate. Merry Christmas!

jiberish,

I woke up at 5 and couldn’t get back to sleep. That gave me enough time from the sleeping family to fix my ZFS server that’s been down for a while. I am happy. Also made sourdough for the first time.

I didn’t even have to use my AK I gotta say it was a good day

jiberish,

I’m glad you found this stick. I need help reaching something approximately that distance away. Let’s get in touch!

jiberish,

8/10. I would definitely find a use for this stick on an adventure.

jiberish,

This is great news. I’ve been using holoiso on my Steamdeck, but the package management is falling apart. I’m excited to try this out.

jiberish,

Anyone can guess anything! Give it a try!

I can guestimate the number of turkeys it would take to fill any given space. It’s my superpower.

jiberish,

All of the turkeys will fit

jiberish,

No roof on Red Rocks, so you can stack about half a million turkeys in that space.

I use Brave to test whether my websites work on Chromium browsers, but their scummy actions lately make me want to find a new Chromium browser to test with. What's the best Chromium based browser?

I already use Firefox for browsing normally, but I have to test on a Chromium based browser too. One soft requirement is that it should be installable with Flatpak on Linux.

jiberish,

If you’re using Windows, Edge is an option. You already have the Microsoft telemetry watching you regardless of using Edge, so you might as well use it if you need chrome for testing or a specific website.

jiberish,

Goodbye Sober Day by Mr. Bungle. That ending usually turns some heads.

jiberish,

Don’t forget to recommend the top Forty Six Tool songs first.

A Window into Culture and Politics on YouTube (transparency.tube)

YouTube is used by 71% of Americans and is a source of news for 26% of US adults. While the impact of YouTube continues to grow, options for understanding the content and ideas being shared on the platform are lacking. That is why we built Transparency.tube. In creating a first-of-its-kind effort to categorize, index, and...

jiberish,

It’s super weird when you consider the origin of the word “woke” comes from 1930s. It meant to keep your awareness high when in violent racist areas of the South. So what is the anti-woke argument? “Keep your head down and accept lynch mobs, please”? WTF?

jiberish,

We love to spend money on our unrealistic fantasies. Maybe one day I’ll have time to play all these games, take the RV out to go camping, lift all those weights in the closet, and learn to play that pile of musical instruments. Oh what an amazing life I will live after I pay off these credit cards and get some time alone with my stuff.

jiberish,

I’m so angry right now. I was waiting to buy an iphone with USBC, but they have crossed the line. My next phone will not be an Apple.

jiberish,

Yaas, queen! I love those french fries.

jiberish,

As an amateur web designer in the 90s and early 2000s, this speaks to me. I stopped web development when CSS became popular and I couldn’t wrap my head around it.

Is there a petition I can sign to scrap all this nonsense modern web progress and go back to that beautiful, dial-up friendly HTML?

jiberish,

They all use springs. Modern garage doors use torsion springs which are safer. They look like a small rod mounted on the wall directly above the garage door.

jiberish,

Oh shit!!! Whaddup! It’s been a minute since I’ve binged on Vantage’s Dat Boy extended version. m.youtube.com/watch?v=b09asWzbeBw
