Poverty won’t be eradicated ever. Not ever.

Exploring a vast Hamas tunnel complex where hostages were reportedly held captive: Reporter's notebook (abcnews.go.com)

There were multiple tunnel off-shoots, with one of them leading us to a large room with a vaulted ceiling plastered white, walls colored with tiled walls and carpeted with artificial grass. The soldiers said they believed it was used to hold women and children hostages, showing us a child’s drawing they said a 5-year-old...

This comment is getting multiple reports so I feel I need to explain why I’m not removing it.

Point for point the things this user is saying are accurate and have been sourced by articles in this very group:

“Israel has shown callous disregard for Gazan citizens. They humiliated, tortured, murdered, bombed, beaten, and maimed thousands upon thousands upon thousands of men, women, and children in their pursuit of Hamas.”

True, you don’t have to look any further than the orders Israel gave to flee to South Gaza just before they began bombing South Gaza:

www.reuters.com/graphics/…/movajdladpa/-m…

cbsnews.com/…/israel-offensive-southern-gaza/

“They’ve murdered journalists.”

True.

cpj.org/…/journalist-casualties-in-the-israel-gaz…

“They’ve manipulated the narrative numerous times.”

True.

apnews.com/…/israel-hamas-war-fact-check-e829d1dd…

Now, as to the angry language:

“Fuck Israel. And Fuck every Israeli citizen that’s participated in Netanyahu’s coldblooded, murderous rampage.”

That’s not directed at Israelis or Jews in general, it is directed at those participating in these atrocities.

If it were anti-Semitic, I’d remove it.
If it were directed at other users here, I’d remove it.

Removed, rule 3. You were 100% on point until the last line. Don’t attack other users.

Removed as duplicate, identical link posted 4 days ago. Would have been easy to miss because the thumbnail didn’t load on that one for some reason:

Removed. TASS is not a reliable source. If this is actually happening (and it MAY indeed be), please submit an alternate source.

mediabiasfactcheck.com/russian-news-agency-tass/

“In review, TASS is a news wire service similar to the Associated Press, but there is no comparison between the two. The only similarity is both use low-biased headlines and wording; however, TASS is 100% Russian propaganda all the time. It is impossible to find an article critical of Vladimir Putin and his administration. TASS does not cite sources in their news reporting and often omits reporting that is not positive about Russia. Further, they report favorably on former President Trump and often promote disinformation directed at Trump’s opponents such as this: Joe Biden’s son and his partners received $16.5 million from Burisma — Ukrainian MP. This story lacks sourcing to back claims. The bottom line is TASS is a puppet of the Russian Regime.”

What's (are) the funniest/stupidest way(s) you've broken your linux setup?

Tinkering is all fun and games, until it’s 4 am, your vision is blurry, and thinking straight becomes a non-option, or perhaps you just get overly confident, type something and press enter before considering the consequences of the command you’re about to execute… And then all you have is a kernel panic and one thought...

Not me, but one I saw… dude used chmod to lock down permissions across the board… including root… including the chmod command.

“What do I do?”

🤔

“Re-install?”

Utah House passes transgender bathroom ban (thehill.com)

Utah’s Republican-controlled House voted Friday to pass a sweeping proposal to keep transgender people out of restrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity in taxpayer-funded buildings, sending the measure to the state’s majority GOP Senate for consideration just three days after the start of the session....

That’s not the way trans identification works.

By your logic, you would be totally OK forcing people like Buck Angel to use womens restrooms:
