kWazt,

Zhou with the Tron vibes, I’m here for it

kWazt, (edited )

Time and attention well spent.

E: I have to add an /s to that? Seriously? Who reads this and goes “That’s somebody’s real take!”

I'm looking for a TOS-breaking telegram client that strips out all the premium shit

Hello fellow pirates! I’m tired of having all the telegram premium ads and antifeatures in the client and I’m looking for a client that removed them even if it’s against the TOS. Any tips? I’d rather use an actual open source fork than a cracked version of the original...

kWazt,

There’s a bunch of apps on F-Droid you could try

kWazt,

I feel like there’s a multitude of reasons on my part, but Louis Rossmann put a nail in it with this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=y83BS_mK9GE

kWazt,

Looking at the machine, I say you got bamboozled. The question at the top of the menu is “What kind[…]?” But yeah, maybe do a sample test run next time around.

kWazt,

I work in a small team, so fortunately, the number of extraverted people is quite low. I find, if I give the people that absolutely crave attention however much they want early in the day, that quiets them down considerably during the rest of the day. They’ll have flare-ups every now and then, and lunchtime is unavoidable, unfortunately, but with practice, I’ve become able to wear them out before they wear me out, if that makes sense. Good luck and peace be with you.

kWazt,

Careful with the punctuation it makes you seem rather aggressive

Firefox for Android context menu editing (lemmy.world)

Recently Amazon, I suppose their app, added a search item to my context menu, which is quite a nuisance. Other apps have as well, such as DeepL and Wikipedia, but I believe those have a valid use case without too much of a commercial interest. Is there a way to remove items from the context menu without removing the related app?

New Massachusetts 'Tax the Rich' law raises $1.5 billion for free school lunch and more (www.rawstory.com)

A new “millionaire’s tax” in Massachusetts was expected to generate $1 billion in revenue last year to help pay for public education, infrastructure, and early childcare programs, but projections were a bit off, according to a fresh state analysis....

kWazt,

I just can’t follow the logic, I’m sorry. These people and businesses are worth millions, aren’t they? However 4% of millions could mean the difference between affluence and living on the street is beyond me. I mean, what other threats could realistically force millionaires to leave a place? Being butthurt? I’m betting they certainly won’t be too afraid to pick up the phone and call their wealth managers to tell them to start making their money work even harder for them than before.

kWazt,

Isn’t Colorado currently a blue state?

kWazt,

My iRiver is just lying around in a box somewhere. I totally forgot about it. Poor thing. Has some nice weight to it, well-distributed, very high-quality build.

kWazt,

Should be able to dig up a fully functioning Sony Minidisk player. Owned and lost quite a few of them over the years. Damn things were sleek and small, but they meant the world to me. Napster and then Limewire provided the mp3s thanks to the old 56k dialup modem, then a mini jack connection from PC to the Minidisk. It took a hell of a long time to get everything set up just so, but it was worth it. Every time.

kWazt,

Such a shame that they ran out of ideas after they moved apartments and were never able to step away from the kitchen smashing with viking weaponry running joke. They were good dudes. I still have their apron lying around.

kWazt,

Before I became a parent of 2 with an extraverted partner, I used to get lonely from time to time. I would get over myself and call a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, regardless of whether I felt like it was their turn to get in touch with me. That or go to the cinema by myself, which somehow feels less lonely than watching something at home.

kWazt,

I can’t believe I had to scroll to find this

kWazt,

Depends on your definition of streaming. I love me some debrid streaming.

kWazt,

One-way tickets to Guantanamo for everyone!

This may seem kind of stupid but I am kind of stupid, is there a list somewhere of phrases that are stupid or insensitive racially or gender biased?

I just got up from conversation with a couple of older black men, that I said “well I got to go back to work and start cracking the whip.” And it occurred to me then that it was probably a really insensitive stupid thing to say....

kWazt,

He’s wealthy, or at least he’s treated as such most of the time, so the word you’re looking for is eccentric.

kWazt,

You, for one, seem way better adjusted than anybody who willy-nilly sticks their arm into raging fires.
