    It’s national poetry month and the kiddo’s school has them each choosing a poem to memorize and read to the school, so we’re reading “Poems to Learn by Heart”, “William Blake’s Inn” and “Poems to Read” looking for inspiration.

    Realized I haven't done a real big launch since before Twitter completely collapsed (in part because I prefer to avoid big launches). And that means I have to intentionally setup listening infrastructure that I used to get from Twitter "for free".

    Today Dropbox's paper, my favorite tool to write and share documents lost two documents that I had been editing for hours.

    I can reproduce at will. No trace left of them.

    I suspect this loved product is falling into neglect.

    I tried Notion, but god it is slow. Are there other alternatives, for shared document editing that are fast and use Markdown for their backend?

    @Migueldeicaza Paper has always struggled to reach critical adoption, at this point primarily kept alive because Dropbox depends on it. Doesn’t use Markdown as the storage layer, but you do know Google Docs (and Slides) support MD editing yes?

    Helping the kiddo make a game using Pygame Zero and at first I thought we could generate some characters using GenAI, but then we found that there are websites where artists have made sprites and assets and for a small amount of money you can download them. It’s pretty cool tech.

    @luis_in_brief just for any game. Pygame Zero is sort of a half step between scratch and Pygame and anything you drop into the ‘images’ folder is available as an Actor
